70 Ft 1884 Traditional Iron Narrowboat, Wooden Top Ruston Hornsby 2VSH Engine

An 1884 traditional Iron/Wood 70 foot narrowboat with a 1951 Ruston Hornsby 2VSH Engine Enter the boat from the cratch covered bow which has steel lockers on both sides for storage and seating. Step down into the Saloon through the bow doors and on either side of the boat are freestanding drawer units. You then take another step down and to your left is the Morso Squirrel Solid Fuel Stove and beyond that is the large two seater sofa with a small drop leaf coffee table. Continuing through into the Galley, to your left is the freestanding New World cooker with a low-level cupboard beyond under a small worktop area. To your right is a worktop with inset round stainless steel sink, and under the worktop are storage shelves and a cupboard.
Next through the starboard side corridor where there is a side hatch, and then to your right you go into the bathroom which has a bath with tiled surround and shower over, a Thetford Cassette toilet with spare cassette, a counter top washbasin with shelves underneath and a bathroom cabinet with mirror above. Moving on next is the main bedroom with double bed, there is a high-level cupboard at the head of the bed and a large double doored cupboard above the foot of the bed, there is storage beneath the bed aswell as the calorifier and expansion vessel. Following on from that is another bedroom with a single bed with storage under the bed as well as a cupboard and shelves above the bed. Moving on next is the engine room with the Ruston Hornsby diesel engine and side hatches on either side of the boat, also in the engine room are 2 x 110 litres ballast diesel tanks (one each side of the room). You then continue on into the traditional boat-mans cabin with a bench seat to the left that makes into an occasional double bed with storage under, cupboards, wardrobe, drawers and drop-down table.
There is also the traditional Epping Range and a Bullseye and finally steps that lead out onto the traditional stern.
