Achilles 24 Sailboat Yacht. Trailer Available.

Canna is an Archilles 24 built in South Wales by Chris Butler in the late 1970's (I was told when I bought it to be 1981) she is number 598 of 600 built and remains in pretty much original spec. She is getting a bit tired now and needs updating in my opinion. She can be used as is and worked on over a period of time whilst still using her. There is a good web site with lots of info on these boats and lots of help from owners ( http://www.achillesyachts.co.uk/) I intended to put her on a mooring in the Menai Straits last year but with covid didn't happen. I own three boats at the mo and hope to move house soon so something has to go.

The boat is on a trailer that is NOT part of the sail. I can deliver locally free of charge if you arrange a lift off at your own expense or alternatively the trailer can be purchased for £1500. There is a new electric bilge pump fitted, a new masthead tricolour, a new windhawk + vhf aerial and a brand new vhf GX600 Standard Horizon radio (still boxed). Plus a new replacement nasa log. The mast and main/genoa sails are in very good condition The head sail rotostay has been dismantled and lubed, it is in good condition.

The rudder skeg has been rebuilt using stainless and epoxy. The hull paint is good but when I had it sheet-ed up during the winter the tarpaulin marked it in a couple of places and I painted the areas with an undercoat intending to find the right shade orange to overcoat. Not yet done because it's been impossible to move due to the dreaded bug. Canna with some elbow grease will make a great little cruiser for someone. I've put it on at a low price and I won't be answering lower offers.
