The anodised alloy mast is supported by 5mm stainless rigging where 4mm would normally be used. Achilles 24 combines a satisfactory degree of cruising comfort with the kind of speed and seaworthiness normally associated with yachts over 28ft in length. The smooth waterlines and moderate beam are allied to a low wetted surface area giving an easily driven hull. As a result, she only needs a moderate sail area to achieve a sparkling performance which is retained in all wind conditions.
