Alpha-Centauri Speedboat

Here we have our demonstrator AC-15 for sale. Designed using computational fluid dynamics to give the ultimate speed and efficiency. This state of the art hull gives great handling and stability. 2019 hydroplane category C speed boat this has been used for demonstration only. Supplied with a second hand trailer FOC, and with a classic 1963 mercury 1000.

Outboard is a very rare "tower of power" 1965 mercury 1000ss full rebuild, including new pistons and rings, rebuilt triple carburettors, new fuel pumps, all new wiring, new water-pump (spare included) This is running a 24p surface piercing prop, lower unit has been customised for surface drive with separate water pickup. These outboards were rated at 100hp crank so approx 80hp prop by modern standards, timing has been pulled back to 19 degrees to cope with poor modern petrol so it will be putting out somewhere between 50-60hp to the prop. However still more than enough to make this boat very lively! This boat was the first out of the mould so has some slight gel imperfections.
