Hello and thanks for looking at my Atlanta 24 canal/river boat. This is a late 90's model (the last model of this boat) which is about as modern as you will see on the canals, most boats out there are 1960/70s. The body of the Atlanta is still produced to this day under a different brand. This boat has never been painted and its original gel coat in in great order, its polishes up like new. It is powered by a Mariner 15hp 4 stoke engine which is in great working order, it starts at the turn of the key and pushes the boat along very well.
The engine has had a full overhaul last year including a full service, new impeller, new final drive oil, new fuel tank and lines and a brand new carb all of which I have invoices for (there is also some history of work and services carried out in the past) with very little use since. I have owned a few boats over the years and I can honestly say this sails along better than anything else I've been at the helm of. You can let go of the steering and she stays true which is very uncommon for this type of craft. There is a bank of 3 batteries, 1 starting and 2 leisure, all in good working order and are kept topped up by the engine or a solar panel while not in use. The cockpit if in overall very good order at you can see in the photos, all seating is in good condition with no rips, its is fully carpeted and everything works as it should.
Under the rear bench are the fuel and battery compartments with storage and the filling point for the 2 on board water tanks, also a gas bottle locker under passenger seat. Canopy is also in good order. The full head height cabin is in lovely condition. Fully carpeted with modern lined walls and ceiling with LED lighting and roller binds to the windows. She is fitted with a gas oven and hob, water heater (currently disconnected but works fine) microwave, fridge, 19' flat screen TV and DVD, remote controlled CD/radio.
There is a decent sized shower/toilet room with a cassette toilet and a full height gear locker and plenty of cupboard and under seat storage. The bow seating turns into a large double bed and the dinette area also coverts to sleeping space. The boat is fitted with both mains and 12V electricity. The boat comes with all necessary equipment, mooring pins, windlass, ropes etc etc and has a safety certificate until 2022. She is moored on a transferable mooring at the beautiful Scarisbrick Marina near Ormskirk, Lancashire on the Leeds Liverpool canal, fully equipped marina with WiFi, mains hook up, water on jetty, café and all boatyard facilities at very reasonable fees plus 15 miles of lock free cruising.
Overall a lovely modern looking boat in great order ready to be enjoyed, please bare in mind though that isn't new so has some minor ineveitable marks from cruising the canals. If you would like anymore info if to view feel free to drop me a line or call phone Thanks again for looking.
