Bavaria 42, 42ft 4-cabin Sailing Yacht

A fantastic opportunity to purchase a roomy, comfortable and sturdy 4-cabin sailing yacht at a very attractive price. This yacht has been well used but presents in very good condition, sails superbly, and is very well equipped with in-date safety equipment. Briefly, she has 4 cabins - 3 doubles and one twin. A single heads with separate shower (a second head could be added to the shower). A good sized galley with gas stove (gas detector fitted with cut-off solenoid) and a large saloon with ample storage.

The engine was replaced with a reconditioned unit in early 2016 and runs extremely well, with around 200 hours since it was installed. A fully-battened mainsail with 3 reefs and genoa are complimented with a spinnaker pole and fittings, although spinnaker is not included. The sails are in good usable condition, as are all the fittings and equipment. She is fitted with a synthetic teak deck that is very durable and hardwearing. She has a Raymarine C120 colour chart plotter with Navionics charts for the Western Mediterranean, Raymarine AIS receiver, Raymarine DSC VHF, EPIRB, 6-man liferaft with hydrostatic release on the coachroof, and two horseshoe rescue buoys with lights.

The standing rigging is in excellent order, and the running rigging has been replaced on condition, so this is also in good usable condition. The yacht has recent batteries, a new alternator and battery charger, a new rod kicker, lazybag, and the saloon was reupholstered in 2015. This is a well built, solid and spacious yacht that has excellent sea-keeping abilities. She can be used equally for long-range sailing or simply day sailing around the coastline. She has been well maintained and is an excellent example for the year.

She was lifted, anti fouled, anodes done and rudder stock replaced in mid 2016. There is no osmosis in the hull whatsoever. As with any yacht of this age there are always minor cosmetic improvements that can be made, so an early viewing is recommended. She is lying in south west mallorca and available to view and sea trial immediately. We know of moorings available in Barcelona or Valencia at approx €300 per month.

Delivery to these or another location can be arranged at the buyers cost. A VAT receipt will be provided to the buyer, and an MCA bill of sale will be used to transact the sale. She is on the UK MCA Part 1 register, will full title and no mortgages or outstanding finance. I am an RYA Yachtmaster Sailing Instructor and can train you to sail this yacht safely and competently.
