‘Cranborne’ - 46 foot cruiser stern narrow boat. Built in 1978. Newly reconditioned Lister SR2 diesel engine and newly reconditioned gear box both fitted October 2015. Brand new alternator and brand new starter motor both installed in 2016 so engine wise it’s in a great condition ready for summer cruising. She was last out the water in October 2015 when she was professionally blacked and new anodes were fitted.
Boat safety certificate passed with flying colours in 2016. The boat safety examiner was very impressed with her standard, especially with the gas installation. •The boat can sleep 4. There is an open plan kitchen and a living room. 240 volt fridge, gas heater for water, sink, gas oven with 4 hobs.•The living room has an L shaped sofa with lots of storage underneath.
The sofa can be converted into a double bed. The sitting space can also be converted into dining area. The wood/coal burner will keep you toasty during cold winter days. The stove powers a large radiator in the bedroom. We’ve never been cold on this boat.
•Walk through bathroom with a full size, spacious shower. Basin and a cassette toilet so no need for trips to a pumpout. •Beautiful bedroom with a double bed, with spacious cupboards underneath and a wardrobe. •Tongue and groove throughout.•New smart battery charger less than six months ago•The water pump was new about two years ago. There are no flowers on the roof at the moment. The pictures are of our roof meadow to show what can be done.
Bad bits: •It could do with a little tidying up outside, maybe a paint job. Not saying it's bad. We’ve seen a lot worse on the river. Depends how picky you are.•The upholstery on the sofa isn’t in a great condition. We’ve had it covered with throws.
You could do the same or have it re-upholstered.•The foam mattress on the bed has seen better days. It’s still useable bit for about £60 the new owner could really benefit from replacing it.Cranborne is a beautiful boat with a lot of quirky character. She’s been our wonderful home for nearly 5 years, and has been very well looked after. We initially lived on her in London, and a year and a half ago we brought her over on lorry to Bath where she’s now moored. We will be very sad to see her go but we are now moving back on land.
An end of an era for us but maybe a start of a wonderful adventure for you? She’s on a mooring in a marina located between Bath and Bristol. The mooring is set up in our name so non- transferable, however, the new owner will be able to apply for the mooring that she is on if required. £25000 ONOFor serious enquiries call either Ian - phone or Jo phone
