Designed by the Beneteau design team and Sarazin Design. 2008 model built by Beneteau in Nov' '07, launched 2008.
CONSTRUCTION White GRP semi-displacement hull with partial centre keel in front of prop. Wheel steering to through hull rudder with emergency tiller. White GRP deck, superstructure, and self-draining aft cockpit. Stern mounted GRP bathing platform with folding bathing ladder. Rubber rubbing strake.
Internal GRP mouldings with varnished mahogany joinery. ENGINE Single Yanmar 4JH4-THE 110HP four cylinder diesel engine. Fresh water heat exchanger cooling. Flexible mounts. Single lever controls.

Bow roller with self stowing 10kg Brittany anchor, chain & warp. Electric anchor windlass. Stainless steel pulpit rail back to cockpit with s/s grab handles on coachroof. Steps down to draining aft cockpit with upholstered "C" shaped seating to stbd and lowering cockpit table. Teak capped aft bulwarks with fishing rod holders.

Well known for their good sea keeping abilities and rugged build, the Antares range from Beneteau has developed over many years, initially aimed at anglers, where the owners wanted a sturdy boat to get out to the fishing grounds quickly.
Over the years the range has evolved more towards the cruising/day boat use. The Antares 6 was developed specifically for the day boat/overnight boater and was the first boat of this size to offer the combination of a comfortable interior with a separate heads, enclosed wheelhouse and a large cockpit. More pictures will be added as i take them. Antifouled and Anodes replaced this week whileout of water. Volvo deep water seal also replaced as part of routine maintenance.
