It is shaft driven, has a large cockpit, enclosed wheelhouse and a separate toilet compartment. Two berths and capable of around 20kts. 
Designed by the Beneteau design team and Sarazin Design. 2008 model built by Beneteau in Nov' '07, launched 2008.

CONSTRUCTION White GRP semi-displacement hull with partial centre keel in front of prop. Wheel steering to through hull rudder with emergency tiller. White GRP deck, superstructure, and self-draining aft cockpit. Stern mounted GRP bathing platform with folding bathing ladder. Rubber rubbing strake.

Internal GRP mouldings with varnished mahogany joinery. ENGINE Single Yanmar 4JH4-THE 110HP four cylinder diesel engine. Fresh water heat exchanger cooling. Flexible mounts. Single lever controls.

Reversing reduction gearbox with 3 bladed propeller. Disc type rope cutter. Electronic engine management. Engine hours approx' 325. Professionally serviced.

TANKS Fuel: 120 litres in rotomoulded plastic tank Freshwater : 20 litres in portable plastic tank ELECTRICS 12 volt system - 1 x 12v battery charged by engine driven alternator. Isolation switch and distribution panel. 12v interior & navigation lighting. 2 x Vetus 12v windscreen wipers. 12v outlet by helm.

VDO stereo radio/CD player 240 volt system - Shore cable and connection. RCB. Battery charger. NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT Plastimo binnacle type helmsman's compass.

Opening deck hatch over. Separate heads compartment with Jabsco manually operated sea toilet. Small galley with GRP sink with manual cold water. Waeco 42ltr front opening 12v fridge with icebox and Camping Gaz single burner stove. Enclosed wheelhouse with adjustable non-standard leather upholstered helm & co-pilot seats, helm position with wheel and instruments.

Opening side windows to wheelhouse. Sliding rear door to cockpit. Large overhead opening hatch. Diesel fired cabin heating with separate fuel supply. DECK EQUIPMENT Wide side decks leading to foredeck with draining opening anchor locker.

Bow roller with self stowing 10kg Brittany anchor, chain & warp. Electric anchor windlass. Stainless steel pulpit rail back to cockpit with s/s grab handles on coachroof. Steps down to draining aft cockpit with upholstered "C" shaped seating to stbd and lowering cockpit table. Teak capped aft bulwarks with fishing rod holders.

Stern door leading to bathing platform and pull out swimming ladder. Hinged cockpit sole hatch with access to engine and storage. Bow & stern mooring cleats. Mooring warps & fenders. Boathook. Well known for their good sea keeping abilities and rugged build, the Antares range from Beneteau has developed over many years, initially aimed at anglers, where the owners wanted a sturdy boat to get out to the fishing grounds quickly.

Over the years the range has evolved more towards the cruising/day boat use. The Antares 6 was developed specifically for the day boat/overnight boater and was the first boat of this size to offer the combination of a comfortable interior with a separate heads, enclosed wheelhouse and a large cockpit. More pictures will be added as i take them. Antifouled and Anodes replaced this week whileout of water. Volvo deep water seal also replaced as part of routine maintenance.
