Beneteau Antares 805 Power Boat

La Galere La Galere is a Beneteau Antares 805, built in France in 1991, from GRP. She has a single Volvo Penta, TMD41, 6 cylinder engine with 200hp. The cabin is forward and has a double berth and settee, with plenty of storage underneath, plus a wardrobe. The heads is aft of the cabin and has a sink, marine toilet and shower. The fresh water capacity is 75 litres and is hot and cold pressurised, the boat is 240V mains wired.

The wheelhouse has the helm area on the starboard side; electronics include a R58100 B Shipmate VHF, Furuno 1720 radar, log, steering compass, Alpeco XCV8100 echo sounder and a Furuno GP-1810 chart plotter. The galley is aft of the helm area and has a stove, sink and fridge (new 2015), as well as cutlery and crockery. The saloon is opposite this area on the port side, including a full length berth. The curtains, carpet and bunk cushions were replaced in 2010. Safety equipment on board comprises of navigation lights, foghorn, flares, lifejackets, a lifebuoy and a Plastimo 6 person life raft.

Other equipment includes, two bilge pumps, cockpit cover, bathing ladder, two anchors with chain and warps and fenders. The engine is accessible under the wheelhouse floor and was last serviced in May 2017. The cockpit has a large lazarette under the floor and seats are on the aft deck. There is a bathing platform with a ladder. She is currently lying ashore at West Solent Boat Builders in Keyhaven, Lymington and is available to view with an appointment.
