Beneteau First 21 Yacht

Beneteau First 21 - 2001. Ready to sail, Lifting Keel trailer Sailor, Beneteau First. Currently on the River Hamble, previously in Chichester Harbour. Sleeps 2 comfortably (6’ +), but has 4 full size bunks. 2 burner alcohol stove.

Internal 35 litre fresh water tank with hand pump to sink. Leisure and engine batteries. Galley table, which can also be set up on the deck. Chemical toilet. Cockpit tarp for picnics in the rain.

Electronic GPS plotter mounted in cockpit; VHF radio in cabin, mast mounted; Depth sounder; NASA boat speed; and NASA Wind (new 2020). Flare pack (new 2020), horseshoe buoy (new 2020), throw line. Fire extinguisher & blanket. The boat is unsinkable, so no life raft. Set up for single handed operation, both for sailing and motoring.

Fully integrated 8HP outboard, delivers 4 kts under motor. Spare fuel cans and starter battery in lockers. All new standing rigging (new 2020). Sails in good state of repair, roller reefing jib; battened, two reef main sail, with traveller. Symmetrical spinnaker and pole.

All lines back to cockpit. Fun sailing at 5- 6 kts, double rudder with tiller make her very responsive. Also good in light winds. Full set of fenders and mooring lines. Main anchor, part chain; secondary anchor; boat hook; ensign.

Lifting keel gives 0.7m draught and also allows her to be beached at low tides. Great for setting up a BBQ on the beach. Otherwise a SUP makes a great tender. Single axle trailer fully serviced (2020), including hand winch. No trailer board.

She of course has a list of jobs that need doing, what boat doesn’t, but is ready to sail, sail away or drive away. Insurance survey done 2020.
