***OPEN TO OFFERS*** ***OPEN TO OFFERS***BIRCHWOOD INTERCEPTOR 25FT RIVER CRUISER, HAS THE 4 CYLINDER SEATIGER PETROL ENGINE COUPLED TO A 'J' TYPE GEARBOX WITH SHAFT DRIVE.SLEEPS 4-6 PEOPLE WITH 2 IN THE FORWARD V BERTH, 2 ON THE MAIN BED WHICH IS ACHIEVED BY COLLAPSING THE DINING TABLE IN PICTURE 2 AND RE-ARRANGING THE CUSHIONS AND 2 MORE CAN SLEEP IN THE AFT SEATING AREA (WHICH CAN ACCOMMODATE 6 PEOPLE SEATED) AGAIN BY RE-ARRANGING THE FURNITURE. INSIDE HAS BEEN TOTALLY RENOVATED BUT THE STRUCTURAL LAYOUT AND ALL BULKHEADS, WALLS, SEATING, CUPBOARDS, DRAWERS, SINK, HOBS AND OVEN ARE THE ORIGINAL ITEMS TO KEEP IT AS NEAR TO THE WAY IT WAS WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY. THE ORIGINAL SHOWER ENCLOSURE WAS GUTTED ON THE INSIDE DUE TO LOOKING VERY OLD AND TIRED. THIS WAS RE-LINED USING SHOWER WALL PANELS SITED DIRECTLY ON TO THE ORIGINAL FACTORY FITTED SHOWER TRAY TO CREATE A 'WET ROOM' WITH A THERMOSTATIC VALVE/MIXER BAR INSTEAD OF TAPS AND A CEILING VENT WITH LED LIGHTING (PICTURE 10) IT ALSO HAD A 'PUMP-OUT' TOILET AS STANDARD SO THIS WAS REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW ONE (PICTURE 9) THAT ALSO HAS THE 'PUMP-OUT' FUNCTION BUT CAN BE RE-DIRECTED TO A HOLDING TANK SHOULD YOU WISH TO FIT ONE IN THE AFT UNDERFLOOR SPACE. THE COOKER IS ORIGINAL AND WORKS, THE HOBS AND SINK ARE ALSO ORIGINAL WHICH IS ALL ONE PIECE WITH A DRAINER SEPARATING THE TWO.
THE SWIVEL TAP HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH ONE THAT FUNCTIONS IN THE SAME WAY SO IT CAN BE STOWED BUT IS CHROME RATHER THAN PLASTIC. THE SEATING/BEDDING CUSHIONS ARE IN THE ORIGINAL CONFIGURATIONS (9 OF IN TOTAL) AND HAVE ALL BEEN RE-COVERED IN FIRE RETARDANT MATERIAL AT GREAT COST AND THE FLOOR CARPET WHICH HAS UNDERLAY IN THE MAIN GALLEY AREA IS NEW TOO (PICTURE 4). ALL THE UPRIGHT SURFACES IN THE 'V' BERTH AND SEATING/SLEEPING AREA HAVE BEEN SOFT LINED. THE LIGHTING/BULBS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO LED TO MINIMISE BATTERY DRAIN, AND ARE ALL SWITCHED. ALL PLUMBING FROM THE PUMP FEED THROUGHOUT THE BOAT IS NEW AND THERE IS ALSO A BRAND NEW CALORIFIER WITH PLUMBING FITTINGS READY TO BE INSTALLED (IF YOU WISH TO GO DOWN THIS ROUTE) WITH HOT AND COLD FEEDS ALREADY INSTALLED TO CONECT UP TO SO THERE IS NO NEED FOR RETROSPECTIVE WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT.
THE WHEEL HOUSE IS ALL ORIGINAL AS FAR AS I'M AWARE EXCEPT FOR THE ADDITION OF LOUVERED CUPBOARD DOORS OVER THE STORAGE SPACES PORT AND STARBOARD AND A STEREO SYSTEM. THE SEATS, SIDE TRIMS AND AFT CUSHIONS WHICH ARE ALL THERE ARE IN THEIR ORIGINAL COVERING AND COLOUR BUT HAVE A BLUE OVER COVER WITH WHITE PIPING WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN PICTURES 11 & 12. THERE IS A STORAGE AREA FOR 2 SMALL GAS BOTTLES, ONE OF WHICH IS FULL AND THE OTHER STILL HAS SOME IN IT. THESE BOTH COME WITH AND ARE CONNECTED UP VIA A SAFTEY 'BUBBLE TEST' LEAK DETECTOR. THE BILGES HAVE BEEN THOROUGHLY CLEANED THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE BOAT SO THERE IS NO WATER OR OIL RESIDUE UNDER THE MAIN GALLEY FLOOR WHICH IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF UNPLEASANT FUMES, AND UNDERSIDE OF THE FLOORING HAS BEEN FOAM TAPED TO GIVE THAT EXTRA SEAL.
THE ENGINE WHICH IS A PETROL 4 CYLINDER FORD WATERMOTA SEATIGER HAS BEEN OVERHAULED INCLUDING THE BLOCK CLEANED OUT AND THE WATER JACKET DECALCIFIED. THE CYLINDER HEAD RECONDITIONED WITH THE VALVES AND SEATS RE-CUT/GROUND AND I ALSO HAD IT SKIMMED, IT ALSO HAS A NEW HEAD GASKET AMONG MANY OTHERS. A NEW WATER PUMP IMPELLER AND SADDLE PLUS THE THERMOSTAT AND ALL THE RUBBER WATER HOSES REPLACED. IT HAS JUST HAD A SERVICE SO THE OILS, FILTER, PLUGS, POINTS, CONDENSER, ROTOR AND CAP HAVE ALL BEEN REPLACED AND IT NOW RUNS REALLY WELL AND IS VERY ECONOMICAL. AT THE FRONT IT HAS AN ANCHOR, ALL THE ORIGINAL SAFTEY RAILS AND AN ESCAPE HATCH FROM THE 'V' BERTH BELOW.
AT THE REAR IT HAS A PLATFORM WITH A FOLDING LADDER, AND DAVITS (WITH PULLEYS FOR A DINGHY) WHICH HAVE BEEN BLASTED AND REPAINTED WHITE. THE HULL IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND WAS PRESSURE WASHED, CLEANED AND ANTI-FOULED AND HAS DONE HARDLY ANY MILES SO WILL PROBABLY NOT NEED DOING UNTIL THE END OF NEXT SEASON. FINALLY THE CANOPY IS NOT THE BEST BUT DOES THE JOB, THIS WAS ON THE NEXT TO DO LIST BUT UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE TO SELL. IT HAS A BOAT SAFTEY CERTIFICATE, CURRENT EA LICENSE SO READY TO GO THE BOAT IS MOORED IN A MARINA ON THE RIVER OUSE SO VIEWING IS STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT AND PREFERABLY DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.
