Bombard Aerotec 380 fully inflatable boat, 3.80m long, regarded generally as the ultimate fully inflatable and portable boat, a web search will very quickly confirm the very high regard there is for these boats, manufactured by a quality maker with a proper deep V hull due to the high pressure V shaped inflated floor, for exceedingly good on water performance coupled with it's very large diameter over sized tubes giving excellent stability. Serial Number: FR-XDC4163UD606, so the date of manufacture is June 2006. Boat weight is 43 kg. The outboard is the excellent Mariner 15HP 2 stroke standard shaft, manual start model, made in August 2006, and definitely considered the perfect and ideal combination for the boat, as it offer superb performance, will tow a water skier or a ringo without a problem - you'd need water skis and a ringo as i don't have these in the sale. The engine's beauty is power to weight ratio and portability as it only weighs 34.8 kg - compare that to the equivalent 4 stroke and you'd never lift it alone !
This was about one of the last 2 strokes to be sold to non commercial users in the UK, is a proven, strong, and reliable unit offering excellent fuel economy. The engine like the boat has been very lightly used and so both are in excellent condition throughout, both in terms of appearance and mechanically, as it starts and runs superbly and smoothly, the engine has always been carefully maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's schedule and only genuine Mercury/Mariner parts/greases and lubricants as advised by the manufacturer have been used, not a mix of different brands as this can actually cause more marine corrosion due to the chemical compositions of differently branded products. The outboard has always been correctly stored and winterised and serviced as directed by the manufacturer, and the boat garage stored inside from new, so is not faded or bleached by sunlight.The plastic fuel tank has been thoroughly cleaned out and is spotless and a new fuel filter and gasket fitted, the fuel line and bellows function perfectly, there is a black, self adhesive rubber neoprene base pad to prevent it sliding though it is secured down in the boat also in use.Maximum speed is approximately 25 mph and the engine offers very brisk yet smooth acceleration with masses of torque due to it's larger displacement compared to its peers, and the aluminium propeller is not damaged.The boat is sold with a very comprehensive range of quality genuine Zodiac/Bombard extras such as:Bombard remote steering system so you can helm the boat with a steering wheel, to use this you'll require a remote control box to select the gear and throttle of the outboard, and very simple but well engineered rack and pinion steering system and expensive piece of kit, the wooden mounting plate for a remote control box is part of the steering system already. This steering kit alone is today approximately £700.00 delivered.Bombard stainless steel folding bow launching wheels which effectively mean you simply push or pull the boat in or out of the water and are not lifting any weight of the loaded vessel.
