Boat Use: Salt Water
Boat Type: Fishing/ Angling
Featured Refinements: Cabin Boat
With bonwitco 400 (4.4 mtrs to my knowledge), fantastic condition having benefitted from a recent refit and water ready, if you know the make then you know how good they are in the water and classed as unsinkable. She comes with a mariner 30 hp outboard two stroke oil injected electric start power trim tilt and in excellent condition benefitting from only doing roughly 6 hours since a full service, the engine has been upgraded to 40 hp which is simply done by a carburettor change and is excellent on fuel which is a great asset with today's prices, these mariners where the engines of choice for the rnli so it speaks for itself, the boat also comes with a honda 2 hp fourstroke auxhillary mounted on a new this year adjustable bracket and both engines can be seen running on collection or prior inspection, there is also a 5 gallon fuel tank for the mariner. The boat sits on a practically new clh galvanised trailer that has only been used twice for launching the boat and tows launches and recovers perfectly, the boat has a great little cabin for shelter and safety for the young ones or simply somewhere to get your head down for a night's stop out as it benefits from having two cushioned bunks giving roughly 6 ft in length each side subject to storage up the bow, yes hard to believe in a 4.4 mtr boat, and does not over comprimise the cockpit space, there is also an opening forward hatch for safe anchor retrieval, the entry through in to the cabin has a great canvass type cover for a door that can be zipped closed from either side and can simply be removed, but more importantly does not comprimise space or get in the way like a traditional door. The cockpit comes with two lovely condition padded foldable seats on pedestals that can be turned 360 degrees, so great for keeping an eye on your fishing rods or to turn and talk to passengers as there is also seating in the rear that comes with a lovely padded removeable cushion, fitted to the engine well is great stainless steel fishing rod stand holder capable of holding 4 rods as well as an anchor light on top. The boat comes with two finders, raymarine dragon fly 5 and another forgive me I can't for the life of me remember at this time of writing the make which also has a GPS type plotter , the dragon fly have a good pedigree and works well, the other one again a good make but when doing some soldering the iron cought the cable and melted it slightly, when powered up it is not recognising the fish finder but it is picking up the plotter which was our main reason for using it.
Inside the cabin is a waterproof box and fitted to this is a switch panel that is fed by the main battery which is charged via the engine, these switches operate the finders and navigation lights, (port and starboard new this year led) and the anchor light standard buld, there is also a cigeratte lighter and USB socket, great for charging or auxhillary power and all can be isolated of power from a switch fitted by the battery, there is a fixed vhf and Ariel to go with it but not fitted as well as anchor warps and fenders. The boat is very deceptive for its size and gives the feeling of a much bigger boat when aboard due to its stability and sea keeping qualities, as well as benefitting from good strong hand rails in the cockpit, it is easy to handle be it on the water or to manoeuvre whilst on the trailer as well as tow which we do with a 1.3 car, great for pulling toys, water-skiing, fishing, or a great day out enjoying the water having a picnic, or motoring to your favourite spot for lunch. Over all the boat is in great condition with the odd age related Mark, it's water ready for a spot of winter fishing or a jolly outing and ready to splash come the start of the season which is usually missed searching for a boat to buy. Viewing is encouraged but please don't come just to kick the tyres it's only wasting your time and mine, if your seriously in the market for a good boat of this size then I'm sure this won't disappoint you, please don't come here and tell me your looking for a bigger boat, you know how big it is, I'm happy to talk you through the refitt and share with you any knowledge I have. This is a cash on collection sale, i don't need another wife mother in law or a camel, however I may be interested in an Orkney fastliner or similar only due to disability restricting me from using the cabin.
I'm sure I've missed some bits but have waffled on enough, this is a cash on collection sale only unless an agreement prior has been made, for more info please feel free to email me or ring on phone. Regards jim
