The digital rev counter on the dashboard is also a service reminder and hour usage computer. The engine is a 30hp Tohatsu, 3 cylinder, 4 stroke, about 14 years old. The engine is very nice, runs really well, very smooth and quiet. The fuel economy is amazing.
The boat is not super fast, but it can run at 20-25mph with just one person onboard, depending on sea state and wind etc. Once out in the open I travel most places at about 15-20mph. The cabs were removed last year and ultrasonically cleaned and refitted with a new Tohatsu carb kit. The engine is a MANUAL tilt and trim. However, it is very easy to tilt up, and the trim is set at the correct level.
The leverage over the transom means that the engine tilts back and over quite easily. This boat has a dromedile hull, so it planes very easily, it always rides flat, it does not point the bow at the sky and it does not porpoise. It has a shallow water setting where you pull the engine up one notch and the prop sits just below the water. You need to lift the engine up manually when retrieving the boat to the trailer which is not an issue. It starts easily, with normally just a few turns to get going when the engine is cold, and then it often starts on the first turn of the key when warm The solar panel maintained the battery so the bilge pump can work when morred up for longer periods.
The boat itself cuts a nice shape – she handles really well and is OK out on rougher water. She is quite wide across the beam, at 6ft width across the gunwales at their widest point, and she is very stable. The boat seats 5 comfortably. There is a bench seat at the front which can take 2 people, and there are two small seats at the rear quarters of the left and right side, plus the driver. There is also a long bench seat which extends from the drivers seat right to the splashwell.
There are two large locker spaces in the front. One is under the bench seat; one is behind the hatch near the bow. The boat has chequer plate on the bow and rear quartersThe boat is supplied with everything you see in the photos, including the trailer, some mooring ropes, fuel tank, 2x oars, 1x boat hook, and a boarding ladderShe is currently on the water at Sparks Marina on Hayling Island.Viewings welcome Happy bidding Cash or cleared funds only please.
