Broom Saturn 14ft Classic Speed Boat Mercury 50hp

Classic Broom Saturn Powerboat I have loved owning this boat, great fun for pottering around on the River, Fishing at Sea or just having fun with friends towing a Donut or Wakeboard. She is so surefooted up on the plain and the curved shape of the hull keeps the waves away keeping you nice and dry when the swell is up. I bought this boat a few years ago in a pretty sorry state, I stripped her down that winter, cleaned her up and gave her a New colour scheme, new Interior and a brand new set of fold-flat vinyl seats shipped over from the States, I also managed to source a 2nd hand replacement Windscreen which are rare as hen's teeth. The outboard is a 50hp 2 stroke 1980's Mercury Red band, it came with the 2 stroke injection pump which I removed as I'd rather pre-mix the oil than trust a 30 year old oil pump! The prop was new 4 years ago and is still in good condition.
The hydraulic lift rams are operational but hoses have become pretty brittle and the out layer is cracking off in places. I took her out frequently from Christchurch Harbour in Dorset, putting in and taking out from the River Stour so the motor always got a good flush through with fresh Water. It has been stored in dry workshop for the last 2 years, when I brought it out today the engine started straight away and water pumped out of the tell tail jet. Since being in storage the steering has seized up, I tried greasing it but I can not get the motor to pivot at all. Whilst testing the fuel line connector started leaking fuel (see connector in photos) so I have temporarily by-passed the connector in order to run it up - these connectors are freely available online for about £10.
There is a stainless steel plate at the rear of the keel (see photo) which I fitted as this part of the hull would often hit the sharp rocks when coming out of the water onto the trailer. The trailer is missing a mudguard. This boat is about 50 years old, please look carefully at the photos (or better yet come and have a look in person) before placing a bid, you are bidding to buy not to come and look.
