Century 4500 CLX Sport Cuddy Powerboat Century Boats have been in business for 100 years and are still going strong today. For sale is my 1990 CLX Sport. I have owned the Kraken for 12 years and have renewed, rebuilt, repaired and modified every last nut and bolt. The boat is 23ft 6 inch with Mercruiser 7.6L v8 400hp. And Bravo one drive unit.

The deep vee hull handles the chop very well, we've taken her across the bay in some choppy water! There is a front deck hatch, stainless fittings, rear bathing platform. These boats are made from the same moulds as the Chaparral 2350 sx during the late 80`s early 90's. Kraken's engine is a rebuilt/modified Mercruiser 7.4L Bravo with rebore, making it 7.6. It has had new crankshaft, forged connecting rods, high volume oil pump, complete high lift camshaft kit inc cam, duplex chain, sprockets, springs, collets/caps and hydraulic followers.

Forged dome pistons for strength and higher compression. Very nice Total Seal file fit "gapless piston rings ".Cylinder heads have a mild porting job and all new valves seats, pressure tested and skimmed.The motor runs a Closed Cooling loop so has it's own water and coolant so it will not corrode with Raw water issues.Polished dual plan inlet manifold with 750cfm Edelbrook carburettor, Holley electric fuel pump and pressure regulator,Hi Tex stainless steel performance exhaust manifolds, connected to Corsa Marine switchable captains choice exhaust for silent running or side exit full noise.The motor is very smooth at idle and has more Torque then you could ever need. Pulls to over 5k and is on the 55mph range. Conservative estimates of 400hp Drive unit is a Bravo one with new bellows and shift cable, and imco drive shower and remote gear lube bottle, i have 2 propellers 24p Bravo one and 23p Mercruiser off shore series both 4 blades stainless steel. Drive unit shifts smooth into gear and works perfectly.

Engine compartment 2 batteries both recent with 3 way switchable isolatorbilge blower and bilge pump stainless steel power trim brackets and trim tab motor bracket. Very clean and tidy inside the engine bay. Below deck;2 berth cuddy with sleeping for 2 easily. 100 litre water tank, sink with electric taps and gas burner, (perfect for Breakfast fry up). Small wardrobe and portable toilet, lights and stereo, storage under the bunks.

Above deck;Electric Anchor windlass with stainless steel Anchor stainless steel chain and bow roller, tinted windows, stainless handrails and fittings, instrument dash and switch panel, all trim is in good condition, the clx stands for cuddy luxury so the model is carpeted throughout the boat inincluding the cockpit, storage under the rear seat and below floor 300ltr fuel tank. Side storage pockets. Stainless steel side exit exhausts ElectricalVHF radio connected to the Garmin gps for emergency location, Garmi GPS 152 and lowerance depth sounder/fish finder, Clarion CD and multi media player with remote control and helm panel, 2 internal speakers and 2 tower speakers 400w Clarion marine Amp and fusion base box, illuminated dash panel and tower lights. Rear swim platform trim switch. And transom shower.

Covers Full camper covers, I sleep on the bench seat in the back, which is very comfortable, with the dogs and the wife and boy sleep in the cuddy under the front, Tonneau cover and full all over winter covers. Trailergood condition Gator made Galvanised bunk trailer with guide poles, removable tow hitch for storage 4 8 ply tyres, good mudguards and galvanized wheels, working disc brakes and bearing savers for the wheel bearings complet with trailer board and extendable fixing brackets, can be towed with a decent towing vehicle, she weighs around 2000kg, so you would need a land rover or l200 type. Overall very good condition, there is s few small mark's here and there from usage as she normal goes out regularly in the season. She is normally kept on Park and launch in Pwllheli and is a well known boat in the bay !
