Classic 1930's Passenger Launch "princess Elizabeth" Vintage Trip Boat

This is "Princess Elizabeth", Launched in 1936 at Hills Boatyard in York where she was a passenger boat until the '80s.Operated from the Guildhall,during WWII she survived the Blitz when the Guildhall was targeted and burned (see photo). After York she moved up to Loch Lomond where she was renamed "Lomond Sunrise" and fitted with new Beta marine engines.She was then transported down to Peterborough and has been used on the Nene running trips from the Steam Railway museum. She was MCA Coded to carry 60 passengers on inland waterways during her time on Loch Lomond and can be coded again or used under the "Small Passenger boat code" to carry 12 passengers without certification (as was the case on the River Nene). Larch on Oak Carvel construction with a steel framed roof. The internal floor is Sapele (similar to Mahogany).The engines are modern Beta Marine BV1505 diesels with low hours.

With two engines she can be turned on the spot and even steered without using the wheel.Boat safety certificate 2017. This boat needs some work to bring it up to perfect condition. The STBD cover boards need to be refastened in places (incorrect screws were used) and re-varnished, the fore and aft decks need some re-caulking and varnish, the sliding hatch above the helm needs rebuilding. The boat needs to come out of the water and a couple of planks on the waterline need inspecting to see if they need replacing or just re-caulking on the seems. Needs a repaint and general tidy up.

Asking price reflects the boats current condition. Boat comes with 12 teak deck chairs and old seats for 60 that need work. First 4 photo's are from the summer before last when she was in her prime.
