Classic 1960 Dowty Turbojet Speedboat

Very rare early 1960's Dowty Turbocraft jet speed boat restoration project. Originally found in the lake district we understand and intention was to restore but like many projects never got done! Not much known about its history. The boat should be a great project and when restored will be a fun classic speedboat to own, a few survive and some are active in classic speedboat clubs around UK. The renown Dowty Turbocraft was a fast and safe boat for water skiing, as it had no propeller.

One of the first every water jet boats it was able to be run in shallow water and was very maneuverable, due to the jet pump steering. A marinised Ford Zephyr 6-cylinder petrol engine included with the boat in a partially restored/stripped condition, It is mostly intact, and internal condition looks to be restorered or overhauled The boat as per pictures is mostly there and original, there is a hole on the stem to repair and other previous minor scuffs/repairs, original steering wheel still fitted along with origianl dashboard with some damage shown on pictures, jet unit is all included and looks in fair condition, pictures show what is included There is a very old probably original trailer included but is not roadworthy so the buyer will need to collect on a suitable trailer.
