Classic 1976 Trident 24 Bilge Keel Sailing Boat. Ready To Sail Into The Sunset!

After 5 years of fantastic adventures sailing around our beautiful coast in our lovely little boat "Moonstream" is going up for sale. She is a Trident 24 triple Bilge Keel yacht. Built in 1976 she is a true Classic with beautiful lines. She is built of GRP with Iron keels, tops sides and decks are also GRP, all the timber work is Teak, She is 24 ft long (7.2M) and draws sub 3 feet (900mm), which makes her ideal for sailing around the coast and out to sea She has been much improved in our ownership and is in "ready to sail" condition, she is not a neglected old banger that needs lots of work, unlike a lot of other boats on the market! She has a fractional sloop rig with Battened main sail with 2 reefing points and a roller reefing Genoa.Trident 24`s are perfectly capable of channel crossing, they have been known to cross the Atlantic and back!

Due to her Keel lay out and draft, she can take the ground well and go to places that other boats simply cannot go! This makes her ideal for trips up and down the coast and into inlets, estuaries and rivers with shallow waters and total seclusion. There are 4 berths in two cabins, a wet locker, a separate heads with sea toilet, the main saloon area has two single beds/settees with storage under,.and a V birth in the fore peak cabin also with plenty of storage. The galley area has a stainless steel sink fed by 110 ltrs of pumped water and a two ring gas cooker, drawers, cup holders, shelves, folding draining board Etc, etc When I bought her ( 5 years ago) she had a brand new Yanmar IGM10 Diesel engine at a cost of £4100.00 and new main and Genoa sails at a cost of £1800.00, the Genoa is a 150% laminated job, we had a NEW roller reefing system fitted so very versatile and strong! The engine is a Yanmar 10hp Diesel and pushes her along very nicely, VERY economical too!

A new Stainless steel rudder and bushes and a new tabernacle have just been professionally made and fitted, There is a brilliant Standard Horizon Chart Plotter and a ship to shore VHF radio.There is also a new ST1000 auto helm included. All lines are tailed back to the cockpit for easy single handed sailing. Over all, a very pretty boat from 1976 with classic lines, she punches well above her weight and is very economical to own and run.
