Year of Registration: 1959
Im selling my 1959 Yarecraft Gentlemans day boat. This is a wonderful boat to own. It measures only 12 foot 9 inches long x 5 foot 6 inches wide. I keep it dry in my garage. It fits in a normal size garage and I tow it on the trailer with a my little Ford Focus car.
It really is fit for a prince. Use it on the Thames at Henley, The Broads or any vintage / classic festival. You will be stopped at every point and told what a great looking boat you have. I have owned it for 4 years and even the lock keepers around the Thames say wow that looks amazing. And she does.
You can see the detail that makes her stand out. The decking lines are not corked like other boats. This one has routered lines and then infilled with solid Box wood. The whole edging of the boat is lipped with solid polished stainless steel D section. You would find this sort of detail on Rivas costing £250,000.
There are 2 engines with this, a period Johnson CD18 and a newer Mercury 9.9 2 stroke. I have had this poodling along the Thames for 8 straight hours. Stopping The Bounty pub along the way for people to admire. It all starts and stops from the front seat. No pulling on a cord.
Its electric remote starting and stopping. All lights and horn work. The trailer is purpose built and can be launched single handedly from shallow slips. Comes with Bouys and a host of accessories. The screen I had made and imported from Italy from a guy that makes special one off riva screens., What can i say.
If you fancy the best looking small boat on the Thames then this is it. Turn up and tow it away. And put it in the water the same day. There is nothing to do. The long listing is so that you can come an look at it first.
Never been out in the rain since its restoration. Please email with any questions. Overseas buyers are welcome to bid. Collection at your cost.
