Classic Hardtop Cleopatra 23 Part Project Boat Part finished restoration of this classic motor cruiser. I bought this at the end of last year to work on over the winter but soon after had to go into hospital for major surgery and was then followed by the lockdown. I have done a fair amount to it including a new Smev double burner hob with electric pumped water, cleaned all interior upholstery and had a brand new canopy fitted. The hull is sound with no leeks as I have had it in the lake and it is fitted with auto bilge pumps. The inboard engine is a 1.5 bmc diesel with new control cables and has been running but not tested out on the lake, it may need a new oil and water pump.
I have fitted 2 brand new batteries and a solar charger. I have prepped most of the decks and wheelhouse ready for painting so not looking her best at the moment She is 23ft long with a 9ft beam and sleeps 4 easily with a double in the bow and the table area converts to another double or two singles with full 5'10 headroom. The wheelhouse is spacious and can easily seat 4 plus the captain and mate and could be used for sleeping on those long summer evenings if we ever get them. The two seats in the wheelhouse are newly upholstered. The exterior cabin and decks have mostly been prepared ready for painting and all the paint and non slip deck paint are included along with bundles of t&g boards for the interior.
The interior roof lining is new white plastic t&g. The sale also includes a very good galvanised launch trailer. She is now out of the water at Kielder Yacht Club Northumberland and can be kept there by joining the club, the club fees are very reasonable at around £240 a year and if you decide to keep it there it can be launched in April by the club and assisted by yourself which is included in the membership as is the haul out at the end of the season in October. Boats are kept during the season on deep water moorings and the fees are paid to Northumberland water which again are reasonable and club tenders are used for going out to them again included in the membership fees. If you go on line to Kielder Yacht Club you will find all the details, membership form and fees for both the club and the moorings.
Viewing by appointment as I live about an hour away. Thanks for looking
