Please read the description carefully do your homework if unfamiliar (or an investment company) and understand this yacht is extremely rare, it has the quality/history and provenance of fine art and that was the owners remit when designing and building with Giles and Lloyds of London - and I cant for the life of me understand that with so many people interested in finishing this project, no one has made a tiny investment in a 2 day trip and discussion? - maybe she needs the loose and silky words of a broker? - however, this is the last month she will be listed for sale, after which I will hold my main project and carry on the with yacht and reap the benefits myself. The asking price is 100k GBP the listing price of 5GBP will BUY you an info pack email only - Many thanks... I HAVE PREPARED A LIST OF WORKS TO COMPLETE PLEASE EMAIL email FOR A COPY - THOUGH A SHORT PLANE RIDE AND IN PERSON VISIT IS FAR MORE SUITABLE....THIS IS A REAL AND VERY VERY SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE.As vulgar as it is to mention worth...a similar sister 4 years older and NOT BUILT TO LLOYDS 100A1 sold recently for 1.3 Million USD. 40 foot WATERLINE (57ft) Bermudan Yawl, Burmese teak on laminated Canadian Rock Elm frames!
Falmouth Maritime Museum holds Yachting Monthly magazine 1971 Feb issue which has a 3 page center spread on this vessel, you can see it on her facebook page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sails_of_Dawn For the discerning classic enthusiast! - The 'lost' Giles.....Lying Malta yacht yard, Manoel Island...One owner from design to me...launched Jan 69 at immense expense, she is the finest Giles built of the finest materials at the best yard!! Built to Lloyds 100A1 - RORC CLASS - Lifelong Royal Thames Yacht Club No expense was spared scouring the UK for the most capable yard - this was always to be the yacht of all yachts to Mr David Dring Morrell the original owner - Author "Indictment' Power and Politics in the construction Industry - he won a huge liable case in the 60's which lead him to commission SOD, a very experienced yachtsman who also owned a sagermani built Giles at the time and invested years into this design with Jack Giles - the history is incredible and I have almost every fax from 64 to 69 and subsequent years - plus all build specs, drawings, original build quotes, Lloyds registers, etc etc. I was trying to buy this yacht for many years after Mr Morrells death, His son finally agreed 14 years later - well I am 16 years older now! - and after bashing away at her for 2 years or so, my back is finally not allowing me to continue....and I am completely despondent at the prospect of selling her.
Look on facebook at her page Sails of Dawn - there is a lot of information there and get back to me...I am looking for my money back (100K A PITTANCE FOR A YACHT OF THIS CALIBER) - She will not be left to linger and rot, work will still carry on albeit at a slower pace (and the price will rise) - I will help and advise the new owner, I am an ex P&O shipwright and Master Mariner - please, serious persons only need apply and ask questions, I am not spending days talking about rigging and giving free advice - sorry - my number is +phone2 - I HAVE JUST MADE A LIST OF WORKS TO COMPLETE - IF YOU TEXT ME YOUR EMAIL I WILL DULY SEND IT - THANKS
