Classic Wooden Sailing Dinghy

Here we have a classic sailing dinghy that has been stripped down for an overhaul. The hull has a pretty shape and she sails & rows well; the hull is clinker built and sound, freshly painted on the outside. She is gunter rigged The photos show bare hull and with the seats and thwarts in place; these need refastening back into the hull. The fittings for the hull and spars, and the old screws are shown in the photo, and these need to be put back on. Painting and varnishing needs to be done.

The sails, mainsail and jib, were made by Gowans in West Mersea; they are synthetic fibre, old but generally serviceable. (There is a fairly small tear in one corner of the mainsail as shown in the photo). The photos show the original rudder in place but I have another higher performance one that may be fitted; this is shown in a photo and is included. I have not shown oars in the photos but I can include a pair if requested.Overall, I see this as a fairly simple and rewarding project, but, unfortunately, I will be busy on other boats so do not have time for it.Buyer collects please
