Colcic Salty Dog 27ft Sailing Boat

I have for sale my Colvic Salty dog 27. (1981 model). This has been a fantastic boat and we have had many of happy trips away in her.. This is a very genuine, quite reluctant sale if I'm honest. I have recently bought a Moody 36cc and this is the only reason I am selling her. If the wife would allow me to keep both then I certainly would!!.
A great boat for single handed cruising or racing and she is very responsive. These boats are pretty hard to find and believe it or not there are three of us in our club that own one, which says it all. Hull. In great condition with original gel coat. Could do with anti fouling by new owner ready for next season but this is something we did every winter ready for the summer. Deck. Also in great condition fully professionally fitted out with non slip deck topping. Rigging.
Mast, boom and rigging all in good order, and fitted with Plastimo roller reefing for genoa.Head sail in good order, Main sail still useable but if I were keeping her I would look into replacing it in the next season or so. All sheets lead back to cockpit for single handed use. Engine. She is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2010 (10hp) inboard which is the heart of the boat. Starts on the flick of the key every single time. Fitted brand new at a cost of £4927 in August 2000 by previous owners.
All original receipts and fitting services from new are included with the sale. All fitted by Volvo Penta specialists. As you can see from picture there are lots and lots of receipts and instructions included with thee boat which can be really helpful when it comes to replacing bits and bobs. Also included is the original full Volvo engine manual. (Really helpful when servicing).2 new battery's at start of last years sailing season.
(Still holding full charge). Accommodation. Accommodation comprises two full length bunks port and starboard and double v berth in the for peak. Separate heads on the starboard side which could do with head lining being re-stuck back.There is a portable toilet instead of a sea toilet as we tended to use marinas more often than not where sea toilets are a no go.. The galley area is well equipped with a plastimo gas cooker/grill, hob and sink. Plenty of storage in cupboards and under bunks. Upholstery is in very good condition as you will see from the pictures.
Things that will require attention or renewing. Sailing Instruments i.e depth, wind and speed. These would ideally need replacing.Main sail at some point soon would require replacing if planning on bay racing.Headlining in heads compartment require re-sticking.Anti fouling for next season.
