COLVIC TRAVELLER 28 AFT CABIN * VOLVO INBOARD DIESEL ON SHAFT DRIVE* QUIET & ECONOMICAL* IDEAL LIVEABOARD, HOLIDAY OR CRUISING BOAT Hi, and thanks for looking at my ad for this Colvic Traveller 28 aft cabin for sale on behalf of the owner. She is in really nice condition and with the benefit of a lovely Volvo inboard diesel engine with desirable shaft drive. If you look around you'll see that the asking price of only £9,950 is very reasonable for a boat of this size and condition with this engine and drive configuration with their excellent reputation for rugged performance; she is advertised for sale elsewhere. This is the aft cabin version of these very popular widebeam cruisers and as a result gives a great feeling of privacy in the aft cabin leaving the centre cockpit for driving and socialising and the forward cabin for comfortable living and family or guests. The boat is diesel powered on a conventional shaft drive which is the most desirable version of these craft. It is a Volvo MD31A mated to a Volvo MS2B gearbox and these were specifially developed for marine applications and are superb units. Quiet, economical and with 62hp, this is ideally suited to a boat that can be successfully used on the Thames and for coastal cruising.
The hull and superstructure are built in GRP and appear to be very sound with a solid feel and you can see the original build quality that give these boats such a long life with many years of enjoyment still to come. There is a new Boat Safety Certificate that will be issued before purchase to give 4 years peace of mind up to November 2021.
