Coronet 20 Swing Keel Yacht And Trailer.New Zealand designed and built trailer sailer. Although she can be trailed, she is fairly heavy to rig and launch regularly and is better suited to being kept on a mooring. Her hull and topsides were painted in 2020 and she was Antifouled this year but hasn't yet been launched. She sails well and is easily handled. Her galvanised steel swing keel is operated by a Winch just inside the companionway.
Lines are lead to the cockpit. The outboard sits in a well giving easy access and drives her easily. She is an ideal daysailer or cruiser for one or two.She has a good mainsail plus spare, jib, genoa, spinnaker and spinnaker pole plus the necessary sheets, halyards etc. There is an anchor well on the foredeck which makes deploying and retrieving an anchor easy and safe. Equipped with a plastimo bulkhead mounted compass and Nasa Clipper Duet log and depth, she also has two breaker/switch panels, central cabin light and two reading lights, one over each bunk.
Port, starboard, stern, masthead and anchor lights. All lights are led. There is also a charge controller for a solar panel, an automatic bilge pump and masthead vhf aerial. Please note battery, solar panel and vhf are not included. The galley has a single burner cartridge gas cooker and water pumped from a container below the sink.
The outboard is a tohatsu sailpro 6hp 4 stroke and has very little use. It has a charge coil and there is a socket and cabling to connect it to the boats electrics. An external tank of approx 10 litres supplies fuel, although there is also a built in tank. The anode was replaced this year and the leg and prop Antifouled but it has not been in the water since. The trailer is an American built maxum twin axle trailer.
It is easy to launch and recover the boat from and tows beautifully although it does not comply with UK towing regs as it has no brakes and so should be considered a yard trailer.
