Cruiser Dutch Steel Liveaboard.

I have had many questions about Tauri, so I'll try and answer them all here instead of individually.Firstly, the length and beam are already listed! She is 36 feet long and 10 feet beam.She has a minimum draft of .8 of a metre and takes to a mud berth very well.She has an air draft of around 2.6 metres so can navigate a lot of the Thames and other rivers.She holds 240 litres of fuel, which, at around 4 litres an hour gives her a very good range. Both tanks are recent.The engine is a six cylinder diesel Volvo and is probably 5.5 litres.We have not had her surveyed but she was out of the water until just over a week ago when her hull was deemed to be in excellent condition, and measured a very satisfactory 5mm thickness of steel.Prospective purchasers are very welcome to inspect her and have her surveyed (at their own expense).Yes, she has a ladder and a solidly constructed swim platform.She is moored on a pontoon at Wallasea, Essex. And yes, we are open to offers. Tauri is our beautiful, solidly built and very reliable live-aboard cruiser.

She is very easy to manoeuvre and could be handled single-handedly. She is very comfortable and a special place to live.She has mahogany and brass throughout and comes with a full-sized 240v fridge.The galley has a 3 burner hob and a sink with hot and cold water, heated with engine calorifier or 240v shore line.The boat has 240v and 12v systems throughout.She has an on-board battery charger and two extemely large batteries.The volvo engine always starts on the button and runs quietly and powerfully.She has diesel boiler heating (the boiler is underneath the floor) and radiators everywhere. - She is very cosy in the winter! She has recently rplaced large, twin diesel tanks and a large water tank forward.There is a V forward cabin with 2 full-sized berths and storage and a large master cabin with a large wardrobe and lots of extra storage. Both have specially made sprung mattresses and are extremely comfortable.The heads are a very efficient pump-out sea toilet with a sink (which has an extending shower head and hot and cold water).There is a bow thruster, operated from the fly-bridge (which is where we prefer to steer her from).The fly-bridge also has seating for 4 and lots of storage for life jackets, fenders etc.

The hood of the fly-bridge is specially made, totally waterproof, and has many different variations with panels all being removable and just leaving a bimini top if wanted. Or it can easily fold down completely.The saloon has spacious seating space for 6 with an extending table.Tauri has 2 depth-finders, one of which is also a fish-finder.There is also a very good car-type stereo with 4 speakers.There is full head-height throughout the boat.She would need navigation equipment for extended travelling, but the wiring is in place ready.We have had her for 4 years and enjoyed every minute on her. So much so, that we have decided to upgrade to a much larger vessel (of a similar style).We have seen a possible contender for our new boat so have decided to put Tauri on the market for a price that would achieve a quick sale (around £10,000 below general valuation).In this time of problems, she is an ideal get-away holiday vessel and would be just at home on rivers and canals as on coastal waters.We would like a quick and easy sale so that we can get on with our next boat.
