Wow , where to start! Myself and my girls are so sad to sell her but a bigger boat means she has to go to a lucky new home. This is a pacific/ sea safe 550 which I bought 18 months ago off classifieds board. I think its about mid 70's. The guy had receipts showing costs of £6000 spent on it a couple of years previously which included the jem of an outboard for £2500.
The outboard is the first of the EFI 4 stroke which I think is 2005 or 2004, need to confirm as its on the driveway. The outboard is so quiet and smooth its unreal. My girls and wife have skied/ kneeboard and ringo off her. So so fuel efficient also. As is often the case with classifieds board this had been a little neglected over the last year or so and was not set up for how I wanted it so myself and my mechanic mate gave it a proper going over to make this a proper off shore boat(as in Warrior off shore).
Obviously you have to be sensible. All in the last year:- I put new windows in the cabin, removed all the fitting off the front deck(rails etc) and re attached properly so it is now solid and watertight. More so than my new boat! She has a new marine ply deck all finished in the hideously expensive proper non slip deck paint. A new ply ceiling in the cabin so no condensation drips.
Comes with Garmin 160c fish finder. One quicksilver fuel tank. Anchor 7kg(not one shown) and a few fenders(not the ones shown). Vhf but not certain it works as I don't have my license. I know all the ariel etc works as I swapped the vhf over with my new boat.
Comes with a 4 wheel trailer, brakes have been disconnected. Its a big heavy duty trailer which would take a much bigger boat. New winch. New nylon keel rollers on stainless pins(cost a lot). But easy to launch retrieve now.
She was primed and antifouled in April with 3 coats Hempels Tiger extra so still good to go. New ski eyes. New auto bilge pump. 2 berkley rod holders which I want to nick for my new boat lol. New premium steering cables £70.
I have a plastic 65 ltr nearly new internal tank you can have but I preferred removable ones One new battery. Was rewired by previous owner and is on a 2 battery set up with proper switch(was rewired so electrics good) Outboard had full service incl. Impeller, plugs, gear and engine oil, gaskets etc etc(all proper parts). Service kit was £130 from pacer. Does not include the auxiliary pictured.
The only thing I didn't get around to was the painting of the interior which is the easiest job! I wanted to put led lighting in the cabin hence not painting the ceiling yet. And also touching up of the exterior. I put all my effort into making this a safe dry reliable and useable family boat and the making it really pretty hadn't been finished yet. The least important to a bloke.
Looking at the pictures it still needs a good clean. Getting tired now to list anymore but as I am sure you can tell I have put much time and effort into this wonderful boat and have only bought the best parts and materials. I probably should sell in the spring but she is good to go and is ready to go catch some cod. She has the same freeboard as a warrior(900mm is it? Or 800mm?
But very safe). I have had her in the marina but she can be trailered easily. She is probably over the weight limit for no brakes but I just took it steady, shhh. She has tons of space on the bow for the family to sunbath and tons in the back for the boys to fish. And you can sleep over.
Small sink on one side which drains out. We put a portable hob on other to cook. Includes Cushions in the v birth left and right. New marine ply lids to storage under seats. Includes one fire extinguisher.
I only got around to making the bottom half of the cabin stable door(marine ply) as it was to keep our dog back. I keep remembering stuff! Comes with the burgundy hood seen in one of the pictures which is fairly worn but still works and keeps the bad stuff out. Should last another season or two. The transom was reinforced by the previous owner which is still solid but the edges of the ply outside of the metal plate on the back is a little soft and paint has come off a bit but is not causing a problem, just doesn't look that pretty.
I really don't want to split her as we have become quite attached to her. The outboard alone would get £2000 to £2500, boat £1500(fish finder was £300) and trailer £700 ish . You could buy this package and sell 2 yrs later and not lose a penny. She does wot 23knts fully loaded(family of 4 dog and a lot of stuff!) Was told she would do 30knts when I bought her but she doesn't. Might on your own but I haven't tried.
Cruises sweet at 18knts with tour mate fishing. I know everyone says this on classifieds board but she really is ready to go and I would have no hesitation in going 10 miles off shore tmrw weather permitting. It is very similar to a Shetland 570 but I think better laid out. Good luck, you will not be disappointed.
