Recently refurbed dawncraft 25, selling as I have another boat now. This will make a great family cruiser or even a small live aboard. This classic canal cruiser benefits from antifouling and hull inspection in 2022, a boat safety certificate valid until August 2025 and a fully serviced 9.9hp Yamaha outboard with new impeller and recently fitted new gearbox and propeller. She will comfortably provide 3 berths (with an optional birth in the wheelhouse) comprising of 2 single births in the bow, or a double v berth and one small double in the dinette area. There is a gallery with a two ring gas cooker running off 2 x 7kg blue bottles in the gas locker. A 12v/240v top loading fridge is also included. Running water is pumped from the 90 litre onboard tanks.
Hot water can be provided by a 5 litre Truma Therme which will comfortably run off the 2000w invertor or even shore power. There is a small shower room which will require some attention as the fiberglass sink has been repaired but will probably need replacing and the shower resealing. A fairly new, but used, Porta Potti 365 can be included if needed. There is a cracked window in the galley (which doesnt leak) and some repairs to the zips on the side panels of the canopy (estimated at a £70 to £90 repair) will ensure the canopy will last for at least another couple of seasons. For this reason the cruiser is sold as a project albiet a small one.The dinette is currently set up with a half table to allow more space in the cabin but the original large table is also included. There is a small multifuel stove which heats the cabin keeping it nice and toasty during the winter. In the wheelhouse, there is a pilot seat and a brand new teleflex steering system (installed May 2023), a radio with bluetooth, although three of the speakers will need replacing. The battery compartment comprises of a 2000w invertor with 2 x 135Ah leisure batteries and a starter battery which is topped up by the 200w of solar panels on the roof.
There is a 5kw diesel heater installed under the floor which provides warm air pumped into both the cabin and the wheelhouse. There is an old engine bay under the wheelhouse seating which contains the old inboard engine. This could be reinstated, or removed to provide extra storage space. The enfield drive fixing is still in place and in above the waterline, so the enfield will leg will also be included in the sale to allow you the option to fully reinstate an inboard if wanted. I'm happy to discuss removal of the inboard engine if asking price is achieved.Freedom is easy to handle and can be easily cruised singled handedly or with your family as crew. She has given me hours of pleasure during the three years that I lived aboard her.She is currently located on the Lancaster Canal and you are welcome to arrange a hull inspection and lifting if you would like to.Please note that there is no mooring included in this sale.
If you wish to keep her on the canal system the current license fee for this boat is £778 per year.Overview:-Yamaha 9.9hp outboard engine, fully serviced march 2022 and new impeller fitted.- 2 X 135ah leisure batteries new January 2021- 1 X starter battery new January 2021-200 watt solar-2000w edecoa invertor with remote-new teleflex steering (may 2023)-Boat safety until August 2025-Antifouled in August 2022- Small wood burner-hot/cold water with 5L truma therme-shower room (needs some attention) and porta potti-kitchen with two ring stove-12v fridge-5kw diesel heater-lots of storage-the side panels on the canopy need some attention, I have been quoted £70 to £90 to have it repaired locally.
