Draco 2000 Boat Project

Boat project !! Selling for a friend,The boat is a Draco 2000 Originally built in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s It has a cuddy to the front capable of sleeping two and seating four(sitting headroom only). With a removable table with can also be deployed it the aft seating area. The aft seating area has capacity for 5-6persons (Inc. Skipper) .It has a ‘Hawk Eye’ depth sounder which cost circa £200 new. And a clean automatic fire extinguisher (cost circa £90) in the engine bay, which was a requirement of insurance. It also has an old ‘Eagle’ fish finder, and an old VHF marine radio.It come with a selection of ropes, fenders and two types of anchor.Specs.LOA6.10mBeam2.31mDraft0.49m – 0.79mDisplacement1,500kg Approx. EngineVolvo Penta 4-cylinder AQ130C Petrol 130hp direct cooling with Z drive unit.Currently the water-cooled exhaust is corroded, but it is possible to have this cast iron welded.The engine and all engine ancillary parts had a bolt by bolt rebuild in 2013 See pictures. Including being rebored with new pistons and rings.Cylinder head converted to unleaded. New big end shells, new tappet lifter cam, (although it preforms better with octane booster added to the unleaded fuel to slow the burn time of the fuel and increase power to original 4 star fuel).Since the engine rebuild it has only done 100 or so hours work and although it has sat for a while, borescope camera inspection shows the cylinders to be unblemished. The engine turns by hand with ease. The exhaust and carburettors are currently disconnected from the engine. The combined unit has some very viable options from its current condition.Remove the engine for sale to be used in a larger vessel which must have a Volvo Penta Engie of this type.Un-refurbished unit sell on the likes of classifieds board for circa £1,500 making this unit worth easily in excess of £2,000.Put a lighter higher spec engine in the boat and restore it. There are a number of excellent videos on YouTube showing people turning them into very fast speedboats.
