Dufour Arpege classic 30 foot yacht Here is have for sale my much loved Dufour, (Bryn Mawr) She has got me started with BIG boat sailing, I now want to sell her so is can buy a bigger boat, I have own her for two years now, and have had some great times on board her, she sails really well, and will do 5/6kots S/O/G and in a good blow down wind we have had 8/9kots out of her. (great fun) We have been out in a gale 8 with 2reefs in, again GREAT fun, and we where very safe in her, not one minute did i think the boat could not handle it, She is a older girl, but she was built before accountant's was involved, Back in 1972. There was 1500 Arpage built and sold back in the 70s. Someone said that Dufour have got a Arpege on show at there factory. She has a 16hp volvo two cylinder diesel.

Md2b engine, the engine runs great, Start up from cold very good and from hot. We service her every year, new oil and filters. We have had the starter Re-con last year with two new 110amp batteryies, and we also had the injectors re-coned too, (three weeks ago). (just thought it was a good idea to get them checked) We had a survey done on the boat last year, he picked up on a few things, the cuttlas bearing had play in it, so we had a new one fitted. We had a new prop shaft too as the old one was bent.

And we fitted a new rope cuter too.(I can email anyone who wants a copy of the survey) that was the biggies job we had to do, all the other stuff was just small bits. There was no damp in the hull, The surveyer even said it was a very dry hull. (we have her lifted out every year for a few months over winter) Last year we rubbed the hull down to the primer (see picture) and got off all the old antifoul. We then primed the hull and re antifouled, (so you would have another 8 years till you have to get off all the old antifoul) We did fit new side windows at that time, we also re-place some of the running rigging, main sheets and kicker and new topping lift. We fitted a new steaming light and deck light.

We all fitted a new LED tri light at the top of the mast and a New VHF aerial.(aerial we did this year and we did run new wire down the mast) we also had the sails washed at the boat shed and a new UV strip on the front sail.She does have lazy jacks too. We had new cushion made for the boat, and new spray dodgers. We also fitted shore power with galvanic isolator, she has VHF, GPS, Radar, depth sounder, speed log. Wind speed, compass, autohelm. We put new fire extinguishers on board.

We put a six man lift raft on board and it is in date, i will sell her with a tender too. She has a two burner hob with a gas cut off valve. I forgot to add, we also fitted a new toilet last year too. She is a lot of boat. And she is ready to be used for the summer.

Viewing is welcome, the boat will be going back in the water next week, so a test sail is more than welcome, north wales pwllheli. But we will be putting her one a swinging mooring in Nefyn. If you did buy the boat she can stay on the mooring for a few weeks till you sort out a place to put her, I am happy to help deliver the boat, we will still be sailing the boat till she is sold.
