Dajo is looking for a new home! After all the fun and enjoyment we have had on Dajo, sadly its time to part with her to allow us space for a new project! We have been using Dajo as a holiday & weekend getaway for our family. It has served us well as with top marks, but with little I am convinced it could become a beautiful liveabord. Dajo is a beautiful Dutch barge originally built in 1938, which has been beautifully converted and restored.
It really is an outstanding craft inside & out. Dajo has had full hull plating and a new cabin fitted recently to guaranty many years of life. She has also had a newer and more powerful engine fitted (with less then 5000 hours on the clock) and a Vetus bow thruster, to make navigation easier and more comfortable. Also has been fully rewired, new engine loom, new battery bank (comprising of two super heavy-duty 220ah batteries and a solar panel on the roof to top up and maintain charge of the batteries. Dajo also has had a new stainless steel water tank fitted in the bow.
A new Jabsco water pump provides water to the water heater, kitchen and wc sink & shower. An instant gas hot water heater provide hot water (this means you don’t need to wait to have a nice hot shower). A new bathroom has been fitted with a decent size shower, a modern free standing sink and a pump out macerator toilet with a 90l waste tank including a gauge (important to know when emptying is required) About the inside: The living area is very bright and cheerful thanks to its big windows which provide loads of light. The spacious open plan design gives her light and airy feeling. There is a large seating area in the lounge on your left hand side as you enter through the main door.
The kitchen is fitted with a four-hob cooker a spacious worktop and a ample sized sink with a modern pull out tap. Under the kitchen counter there is plenty of space for cutlery, pots, pans and all your kitchen equipment. The main cabin is separated from the living area it is equipped with a double size bed, a large storage space for all your clothes. There is a large amount of under bed storage. The bedroom is very warm and cosy it is my favourite part of the boat There is also another small room situated at the stern, with cupboards around the whole room, this provides more storage and two folding beds where guests can sleep.
Dajo has also been fitted with 12v and 240 v sockets throughout.A 600w inverter provides the 240v so you can charge your laptop, use small house hold appliances and watch the TV that is in the living area. Dajo is truly outstanding craft!
