Eagle 4 Hovercraft With Rotax 582 Engine

For sale is an eagle 4 hovercraft as originally made by K and M products, the spec for which can be seen on their website at http://www.kmproducts.co.uk/eagle_4.htm. This craft is in good overall condition and is ready to fly. I have included two links showing the craft in action The first shows one of a number trips I made last year out on the north east coast near Redcar. Another short video of the craft on hover can be seen here https://youtu.be/AwGvsE1n1kc The craft is fitted with Rotax 582 water cooled engine which has proven to be very reliable and is in good operating condition.

It has good compression and the rotary inlet valve consumes a negligible amount of oil whilst the spark plugs have the ideal brown colour after a long run. Https://youtu.be/6Tiz8RlA-_g The drive belt and the flexible shaft coupling were both replaced last year along with the battery. The skirt has some wear but still has many hours of life left and comes with a number of spare segments. The craft comes with the original trailer which is also in good condition.

The only part of the craft which may need some attention in the future is the joint between the back end of the main exhaust box and the secondary muffler. This had a temporary repair made last year but this has lasted well and with the occasional top up with gum gum it will probably go through another season. The photos show an installed radio which does not appear to be working due to some failure in the display. This may be repairable but could be replaced for a modest cost if required. The purchaser should pay a £200 deposit through Paypal within a day of the auction completion and the remainder should ideally be cash on collection.
