Ex Rnli D Class - Mariner 40hp Outboard - Trailer

Here for sale is Ex RNLI D-376 she is a 5 metre/16 foot inflatable boat used in service as a search and rescue boat. She was built in 1988 by Avon, since having her she has been restored to her former glory. She spent her years in service at Aldeburgh. She is ready to go for the summer. The boatWhen I purchased the boat the hypalon was all faded so I took the old off and replaced it with new Orca hypalon.

The rubbing strake was also replaced due to it having bits of it missing. The floor also has been replaced with quality marine plywood with 3 coats of epoxy for a hard and resistant floor which will last! The white grab ropes have also been replaced. The transom on the boat is very solid and has also had 3 coats of epoxy to prolong its life. The boat is honest and very capable in rough waters, it's made to last.

She hold air and has no leaks. There are a few patches on her but is what you’d expect from her age. The Engine The engine is a 2 stroke 40hp Mariner outboard which is also ex RNLI. It runs fantastically and never fails to start. It starts on the 2-3 pull from cold every time.

I have recently changed the gearbox oil and serviced the carb. There is a plastic 30l fuel tank included in the listing. The cowling has had a new set of decals due to the old ones being tatty. Trailer/TrolleyThe trailer is made specifically for this boat, for ease of launching in time critical conditions. It was originally on bronze bearings which I later changed out to road trailer bearings.

There is no suspension on it but the tyres are large to counter for this. I have never had a problem towing it and works brilliant on the slipway. The trailer is fitted with a winch to make recovery easier but the boat can be driven straight onto the trailer. The foldable tow coupler in not included in the listing. There are side rails for guidance onto the trailer but are removed in the photos.These boats are getting rarer and rarer and very hard to find a nice example.
