Ex Royal Navy Halmatic 36ft ,good For Houseboat Conv. Or Workboat Ready To Go.

36 ft Halmatic. These boats were built for the Royal Navy at great expense & are very strong. They used to spend their military service hanging on davit posts on the side of HMS Ark Royal etc. (See photo). So the build quality & strength speaks for itself.

Just to clarify the photo's of this actual vessel are the Blue Boat & the photo of the engine. The other photo's are of sister vessels & then a reference photo of my intended superstructure but longer in length. It has a rebuilt Perkins 6354 Turbo with 7 hours use since the rebuild. This combined with the build quality are the main 2 factors of why I purchased. Another factor is it has a shallow draft (20 centimetre hull & 60 centimetre centre keel at the stern (Planing Hull) so it's very manoeuvrable & can get into most places.

Even if you contacted rocky ground at slow speed you'd possibly get away with it. The Hull has no damage or undergone any repairs since it was built. The Stern Gland is water tight. My intention was to fit a mezzanine floor over the engine & aft with a 'Pilot Boat' Superstructure on the top, (see photo) resulting in a nimble super tough seaworthy/ european waterway houseboat. Which I might still do but this will significantly ramp up the value.

At the moment I am prepared to sell as it is at the price stated due to taking on a workshop/studio and it would be easier for me not to deal with both whilst also having a lump sum to put into the workshop. There is currently a full length heavy duty tarpaulin fixed over a timber apex frame so is protected from the rain & elements whilst awaiting superstructure.. I have had to cut down & collapse the Helm to enable this. The controls are still connected & could be mounted outside the tarpaulin frame for temporary piloting. It is road transportable and even has 4 lifting points for chains or 2 seriously heavy duty Davit lifting points. However the boatyards just use the slings that they have set up.
