Fairy Convertible Boat. Classic Day Launch1950 With Morris Vedette Engine

We bought this lovely boat in 2017 and used it on the upper Thames for a season and kept it at Shepperton Marina. We had a great time using it and it always started and ran really weel. We then moved out of London so bought an extreme trailer in very good condition and its been parked up a dry barn ever since. The below is the description from when we bought it and there is lots more details online with further photos etc. The boat is now located just outside of Winchester on a trailer.

1949 / 50 Fairy Convertible for sale. Extensively restored over 2015, one of only two historic boats left in the world and the only one with her original engine. We have a new project to restore and sadly need to sell ‘Sirena’. We’ve owned her since 2014 and have extensively restored her to a very good standard. Built in 1949/50 she was one of a handful of launches destined for Bermuda to tender the tall ships there.

Built solidly from layers of Agba and cold moulded this is a strong and light boat. Equipped from new with a Morris Vedette MKII 12hp inboard engine and transmission still in perfect working order. The engine has been overhauled and returned to magneto ignition. All ancillary parts have been overhauled including the starter motor and fuel pump as well as the magneto which has had a new coil and the carburettor which has been serviced. This is a very easy engine to look after and has never failed to run smoothly.

Recently serviced with new plugs.
