Finesse 24 Ft Classic Wooden Sailing/cruising Boat

For sale is a Classic wooden 1989 Finesse 24 ft sailing/cruising boat with a lifting keel,built by AF Platt at Southend.The boat has a gaff rigged mainsail with 2 other stay sails, the foresail has roller reefing.This boat is designed to cruise the the East coast creeks and sits level when dried out.She draws 2ft 6 inches with the keel up and 6 ft with the keel down, she is also fitted with bilge keels.Weight:3.5tonsBuilt of Iroko planks on Oak ribs.Below she Sleeps 4 in two cabins,there is also a flushing sea toilet and a galley kitchen with cooker and sink. The cooker needs replacing Auxiliary power comes from an inboard Marinised twin cylinder Petter mini twin Diesel engine which has been rebuilt.The boat is lying at Oare Creek, Faversham and has been out of the water on the hard for several years. The boat now needs a bit of care and attention. She is basically sound,but needs attention to paint and varnish particularly on the topsides and mast and spars.The standing wire rigging is ok but rope rigging will need replacing.The boat belongs to my 93 year old Dad who bought the boat in 1989 we have had a lot of fun with her cruising the creeks over the years,but now it’s time for someone else to enjoy the boat.
