Fisher Freeward 25 Motor Sailer

Sam, a venerable fisher 25 freeward built by the renowned northshore yacht yard, no: 326371 Aquired by myself about a year ago, she has had much attention over recent years but needed finishing, still does..essentially a refit (more on this later). Sadly I dont currently have the time she demands, hindered by the distance I live from the boatyard and suitable moorings.. Built in 1974, although its hard to believe and boasts a very comprehensive survey history, the last one carried out in 2016 and favourable. Re engined recently with a reconditioned volvo md2020 together with a new gearbox, propshaft and morse controls along with new associated plumbing etc. Her gelcoat is in very good condition, as is the hull which has benefitted from a below water epoxy treatment at some point, freshly antifouled with blakes tiger. Rigging appears complete, roller furling annodised mast and boom overhauled quite recently, standing rigging replaced in 2013, clean & serviceable mainsail and genoa, bagged, original?

Youthfull premium quality sprayhood. Externally most of the work is complete, many many hours were spent taking all of the woodwork back, it has been treated to several coats of decs olje. Half of the original treadmaster has been removed ready for replacement which i may have? The remainder is still serviceable. The windows are good but the four portholes will need replacing.

With the exception of the above she just needs a refit, interior panelling & cushions have been removed in preparation, internal woodwork is good, the smaller mouldings have been extricated and restored. Bilges cleaned and painted. Basic 12v wiring remains but needs extending, new gas pipework has been installed along with a 240v hookup system and fresh water bladder. Seacocks serviced 2016, sea toilet in working order. Many new/used parts have been sourced to complete and will be included, such as: laminated tiller, battery, fusebox, electric windlass etc Instrumentation has been disconnected & is untested, most original internal features intact inc foot operated water pump.

More than a weekend work is required, but not a lifetime & she will reward you.
