Decided it’s time to sell my Fishing boat, (due to medical reasons) it’s been out the water for almost a year now, so it’s time it goes to a new home that’s going to use it. Those of you know your boats will know the Featon Moraga is a very stable, but at the same time fast boat gets up on the plane as low as 8 knots but will carry on upwards to 28knots.Being a twin engine it is very moveable being able to turn on a sixpence.Unfortunately the previous owner reset the hrs on both clocks when he had both turbos rebuilt, so I can’t tell you the total engine hours but the clocks are showing 80hrs at the moment. The hull is in good condition being GRP and I had it copper coated two years ago so should be good for another 2 years before it needs any paint.I’ve fitted a 3000w inverter running off 3 x 120amp batteries which in turn are being charged via a solar panel. Enough power to run fridge, kettle etc. Each engine is started of it’s own separate battery just in case Electronics fitted ;-Raymarine C120 screenRaymarine radar module Raymarine GPS moduleRaymarine 240E VHF radio with remote speakerGarmin 556s sonar (fish finder)Lowrance Elite-5 hdi GPS Electronic engine temperature guagesOnboard cctv runs off a SIM card peace of mind when your not onboard (£4 a month for sim) Both engine run well and are strong, both turbos were stripped down and rebuilt 80hrs ago, they are driving two Volvo SX outdrives which were serviced 18months ago with new seals and impellers. The engine cowling also doubles up as a seating area with fitted seat pads and infills.
250L diesel tank that is 3/4 full50L water tank The Boat is 27ft and comes in approximately 2.7 tons included is the Bradley extreme 3.5 ton trailer which tows very well, but you must make sure you vehicle is up to towing such a weight legally total 3.2 tons approx, I use a Nissan navera. You need a shallow incline on the slipway due to size of boat, I had it lifted in at local marine and paid for a bearth. The twin berth converts to a seating area with table you won’t be holding dinner parties round it but useful all the same. There is also a sea toilet in a separate cubicle, fridge, kettle and sink (not the ritz but good enough to make a cuppa while your out fishing)Radio and CD player with speakers. 20kg anchor with approx 20m off chain and 30m of rope electric windlass controlled from cabin, so you don’t have to break your back pulling the anchor up. Also included are 4 x fenders although there is full length rubber running strip down both sides.4 x automatic life jackets ( 3 off which are brand new still in packets)Full set of emergency flares First aid kit2 x brand new still in there boxes propellers.I’ll also throw in some ropes and any other bits and pieces I can findSpare drive belts for the engines there’s no Halfords out at sea for a new one if it failed while you were out.
There are a few jobs that still could do with doingNew windscreen wipersA few cables need refining into place to make tidyThere is a slight leak from the hydraulic steering system that I haven’t been able to find uses about a 1/4 pint off oil every couple of months but I just made sure it was full before going out, I’ll include 10L of hydraulic oil. I might be able to help in delivery depending on you location and having enough time.
