1998 Fletcher 19 Gts 3.0 Mercruiser with Alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive. Starts runs and drives perfectly, in absolutely fantastic condition for a boat of this age. Just had the latest/best 7” Garmin Echomap UHD 75SV chart plotter/sonar/fish finder and the newest and best matching Garmin GTA56UHD-TM Transducer with ultra high definition clearVu and SideVue etc. Brand new icom VHF ic-m330ge (the new compact version) and new antenna. New seastar throttle control with tilt and trim switch and new gear cable, operates absolutely beautiful, I can’t tell you how much better it is to drive and control the boat with the new throttle!
Especially compared to the old original units these all seem to be fitted with. Over the winter we have had the entire boat machine polished and waxed. New blue stripe and graphics in the highest quality 3M vinyl designed for boats. Timing was set using the correct mercruiser method and a new carburettor fitted and tuned perfectly, idles beautifully at 750rpm. It is the 3.0LX so approx 135bhp and has power steering.
The engine compression was checked and is perfect, you are more than welcome to do your own compression test. We were recently out for a little over 6 hours solid on the boat, with 4 people on board, half the day out at sea and the other half up the river Tyne, it did not miss a beat all day and used a surprisingly small amount of fuel. We take it out at least once or twice per week as we are very local to the marina. Freshly top quality anti fouled (3 coats) including outdrive in March 2022. The boat was completely gone through with the following new parts just this winter gone…Dizy cap.
Rotor arm. Ignition module. Plug leads. Plugs. Fuel separator filter. Fuel pump filter.
Professionally refurbished carburettor from the USA. Engine oil. Engine oil filter. Gearbox/outdrive oil. New water impeller.
Exhaust flaps. Etc, etc, etc. New bellows less than 2 years ago. New blue cabin lights. The cuddy cabin is bone dry and in near perfect condition, no sagging headlining as most have and no damp smells!
Nice lights in there too should you wish to sleep over. Engine bay lights. Lots of new wiring. New switch panel. New fuse box.
New steering wheel. Etc etc etc. All parts and oils were genuine quicksilver where available. Interior is beautiful and in very good condition. Full camper covers and flat cover in very good condition.
Stereo works great. She is a quick boat and is very good on fuel, our friends have the V6 and it uses what seems like double the fuel of ours and ours keeps up with it no problem at all. Lovely single axle trailer rated to 1300kgs, the boat is slightly less than that. We have towed it hundreds of miles and it tow’s really well. It has just had new brake shoes and wheel bearings.
Good anchor with chain and then rope, very long. Loads of old receipts and history. The boat spent all of its life upto the last 2 years on lakes like Windermere according to the history and previous owners, we have it about 1 mile up the river Tyne this season, but the marina actually freezes on very cold nights, so it’s not very salty. Moored at the beautiful royal quays marina in Newcastle/North shield. A River trial for a genuine buyer is no problem as long as the weather permits.
Viewing most evenings or weekends. As you can see we have looked after this boat with an open cheque book approach, as we do with all of our vehicles and toys. We love the boat and are only selling as we have bought a Sealine S28 after enjoying this (our first boat) so much. Sad to see it go, but I certainly couldn’t justify 2 berths at the marina… you could keep the boat here at the royal quays marina in its current berth, my new boat won’t fit in this berth so I’ll be a few rows down. You can find cheaper, but you’ll spend a lot more money and time overall getting the cheaper ones to this level.
Would take less if you don’t want the trailer or the new gps system.
