This auction is for my 1984 Fletcher Arrowbolt 22. A very rare opportunity to own one of the classic sports boats of the eighties - still a great looking boat with power and handling to match......... Boat: 2 berth Cuddy Cabin layout with spec as follows: Gas cooker with two gas rings, grill, kettle, grill pan and gas bottleExtractor FanCabin dome lights and spotlightsStainless sink with tap and 20 litre water tankHoudini deck hatchAnchor locker with anchor chain, rope and stainless anchor roller Stainless radar arch with overhead lightCockpit lightNavigation lightsFixed Suunto compassGarmin Fishfinder/depth gauge with recent new transducerStainless Horn12v Power socketRev Counter, Oil Pressure Gauge, Temp Gauge, Trim Gauge, Voltmeter, Fuel Gauge200 litre Fuel Tank with secondary gaugeCockpt Fire ExtinguisherEngine Compartment Fire ExtinguisherBilge BlowerTwin Batteries in battery boxes with Isolator/changeover switchStainless Grab Rails front, windscreen and rear, Bilge PumpSun Pad over engine compartment with gas strutsBathing Platform with Stainless boarding ladder and auxiliary engine bracketEltrim Trim Tabs with dash controls and LED readoutRear Rod HoldersStainless Ski Hook Canvas tonneau cover with support straps to avoid pooling water (watertight)Detachable Bimini top with storage cover (new August 2016) Engine: Mercruiser 5.7 litre V8 Petrol 260HP rebuilt around five years ago. Recent new Igniton Coil (genuine Mercury) and Impellor. Drives through Borg Warner Velvet Drive gearbox - seamless gear engagement no clunking in and out of gear! Mercruiser TRS heavy duty outdrive with power trim and tilt.
The drive was a new imported unit fitted to the boat prior to the previous owner buying it. The previous owner before me had the boat for ten years so I would guess the drive is 12 to 15 years old. Bulletproof outdrive designed for high output engines. Outdrive fitted with 19" Stainless Cleaver Prop. Very good starter and runs lovely at correct temperature and oil pressure.
Fitted with cooling system which incorporates integral flush system so after salt water use simply connect a hosepipe, turn two valves and start the engine to run fresh water through the system. Trailer: Heavy Duty Twin Axle SBS Trailer as follows:Adjustable tilting roller systemGuide Bars Winch with new winch strapAll Wheel bearings replaced and brakes overhauled 2015Four new heavy duty wheels and tyresTrailer mounted spare wheel with nearly new tyreJockey WheelHandbrakeBreakaway cable Integral Hitch LockFour wheel fresh water Flushing kit included (not fitted) New galvanised light board poles Towed around 1,000 miles last year with no issues at all (although realistically you will need a 4x4 to do this comfortably and safely). We tow with a Discovery TD5 Auto. Other items included:Prop Bag2 x Ratchet strapsQuick release lighting board with reg plate clips Extra: I also have available by separate negotiation an auxiliary Honda 5HP four stroke outboard with remote fuel tank. Overall everything is in a good used condition and to my knowledge everything works as it should.
I have owned the boat since September 2015 with the before me having it for ten years plus. We have only used it in fresh water in that time between plodding along on the local river (very economical!) and for long weekends at Loch Lomond to go a bit faster. The boat cruises comfortably at 25 mph and will top out at around 40mph. Winterised and stored internally over the winters in our ownership. The Deep V hull is in very good condition apart from some minor scratches on the side and marks where the guide poles have rubbed.
The top sides are fine but ideally would benefit from a respray at some point due to a bit of discolouration and residue left from the boat name stickers peeling off. This does not really detract from the appearance unless very close up and please bear in mind this is 33 years old and therefore not a new boat......... An unexpected opportunity has arisen for us to purchase a local Sea Ray Bowrider at a very good price (done 80 hours!) which is probably more suited to our needs as we have not really used the cuddy cabin on the Fletcher. If this was not the case we would not be looking to change........ We have placed a deposit on the Sea Ray so it is with regret that the Fletcher must go as we do not have room for both. Any inspection is welcome and the engine can be seen running with gear engagement/ trim working etc. We are approx 12 miles North of York.
I will upload more pictures when the boat comes out of storage this week and I also have a couple of the videos of the boat running/under way which can be emailed if required. The boat will not be available to view until Sunday 5th March but any questions in the meantime please use classifieds board messages or call Nick on 0phone. Would prefer payment by Bank Transfer. Please no silly offers. Thanks for looking.
