Foreland Dinghy

I have had this dinghy for 10years. I bought it at a time when I was regularly sailing with a crew and I therefore needed a tender big enough to convey 2,3 or even 4 people to my mooring. It proved to be a functional and stable tender to which an outboard be attached without greatly affecting how the boat sat in the water and it was in this capacity that it was mainly used. Better still it also served as a bona fide sailing dinghy giving me the opportunity to use it for recreational sailing when not on my larger boat. At one point I bought a set of Mirror sails to replace the original but even the miniscule mirror jib is too large to hank to the forestay (see photograph).

I guess it could be made to fit but I never bothered because its small size would have added very little to the performance. As the photograph shows all masts and spars fit neatly within the boat when not reqired. In more recent years I have tended to go sailing alone and the tender has been somewhat oversize for what I require. As a result it has been little used and it has to go because I have run out of room. Prior to sale I have painted the interior, replaced the keel strip with a new stainless steel one, added some hardwood bilge slats and sanded and painted the woodwork with International Woodskin.

It retains its original gelcoat. The sale also includes the launch trolley and rowlocks. Inspection welcome. I may be able to assist with transport (subject to negotiation).
