Here we have a WaterMota Marine Engine based on a Ford Crossflow 1600cc.This engine has been fully restored by my late father with no expense spared. His plan was to install it into a lake day boat but sadly this never happened. The engine has been rebored to + 20 thou fitted with New Low Compression Pistons, Rings etc, the Crank Polished with New Main & Big End Bearings. The Cylinder Head has been Reconditioned with New Valve Guides, Valves & fitted with Hardened Valve Seats so the Engine will run on Unleaded Fuel.It has a brand new Bowman FM160 manifold (at least £400 to buy), brand new Hella Alternator, fitted with electronic ignition (so no points to get dirty). Brand New Ignition Coil, New Carburettor, New Petrol Pump, New Oil Pump & Oil Filter, New Timing Chain, New Jabsco Raw Water Pump to Circulate Water through the Oil Cooler into the Heat Exchanger & out of the Exhaust.
New Engine Water Pump to Circulate Water around the Engine Block & Heat Exchanger, New Starter Motor, The Bell Housing is to fit a PRM 150 Hydraulic Gearbox. The cost in parts alone comes to over £3000.00 I think there could be a couple of Jubilee Clips & one Pipe Connector missing from the Manifold, apart from that it’s possibly as good as new. It’s been stored in a ventilated garage. Complete with its own fabricated engine cradle on wheels to move it around the workshop. This Engine will need to be fully run in for a number of hours before using max RPM.
