ONE MANS DREAM – 26’ GAFF RIGUPDATE 14/11/22: Since this advert was placed Denis's wife has sadly passed away. As a result the boat needs to be sold. To aid this it has been significantly reduced from £9750 to £6,000. Building work started on this boat back in 2007. – it was put together by a very talented Naval Architect from drawings by David J Marsh of D M Design Ltd.
Sadly the builder died 7 years ago and never got it into the water. As you can appreciate, there’s been much upset in the family due to his passing but finally they have made the decision to sell. Denis (the owner / builder) has put hundreds of hours into this vessel and his skill can be seen everywhere. It pretty near 100% ready for the water but needs a good pair of hands to beautify the cabin, re-varnish the wood and get the Brand New Vetus Diesel engine up and running.The hull is constructed from Iroko tongue & groove with a fibreglass outer shell. It's extremely tough It comes with all the sails, guards, Masts, VHF radio, GPS etc.
It’s currently lying in a garden near Amersham and will have to be craned out of the property. As a guide we obtained a quote of around £1200 to transport it from Amersham to Gosport. We have been advised that the crane cost would be circa £4,500. You are welcome to view the boat but the family are extremely private so please only view if you are a serious buyer. The boat measures approximately 26’ x 9’ I am not the owner, just a friend trying to help out but I will try to answer your questions as they arise.
Once sold we request you aim to remove the vessel within 2 weeks. We will be on hand to assist with the removal.
