The cost of hire is £120 per day for 8 hours of boating with a ½ hour handover procedure which will teach you everything you need to know about day boating. We are a small family run business providing day hire on the Leeds Liverpool canal between Apperley Bridge, where we are based, and the Abbey Inn at Kirkstall. We allow small dogs to travel with you saving you the hassle of finding a minder. The travel path passes points of interest such as Calverley Woods, Rodley Nature reserve and exemplifies the local area of natural beauty.

Our route gives boaters a great taste of the canals’ industrial heritage, whilst also immersing the customer in the tranquillity of nature and the relaxed pace of canal life. We offer each customer free diesel, free secure parking and a 10% discount at Marina View coffee shop, based at Apperley Bridge Marina. Your fee of just £120 includes 8 hours of travel plus full instruction on boat handling and safety on the canals; we’ll never send you away until everyone’s happy that you feel comfortable with the boat.
