Hardy Family Pilot 20

Hardy Family Pilot 20. These are great boats for fishing, weekending or just enjoying a day out on the water and make for excellent all rounders. This is the later model benefiting from cockpit hatch and sliding windows. ‘Meribel’ (currently moored in Salcombe) is a lovely boat and we have a lot of fun on her over the last few years but now we need something a little bigger. The boat is in great condition but could do with a clean and gelcoat polish.

She comes with Bennet hydraulic trim tabs fitted May 17 which are fantastic for levelling the boat and bringing the bow down when pottering about. The Nav lights could do with some tlc as port and starboard can be a bit intermittent. The hood canvas is ok but rear window zip could do with some attention and some of the edging re-sewing. I had 3 rear windows/screens replaced, new frame, hood cleaned and waterproofed last year. Serviced yearly with new impeller, plugs and gearbox oil. Twin axle Parrymore trailer. New bearings, new brake cables and 2 new wheels and tyres fitted within the last year. As with any boat, it needs constant attention and will always need ‘bits and bobs’ fixing and replacing. Meribel is not a new boat, but she is in good ready to use condition.

She does have a few small minor scrapes in the gelcoat but otherwise solid as a rock. I’m happy for and would encourage viewing before purchasing to avoid any disappointment.
