Hillyard 11 Ton

For sale is our beloved and rare hillyard 11 ton "maymaid", she is a centre cockpit ketch with behind mast furling main, hanked on jib and mizzen, main and jib, old but in good condition, mizzen is new,most of the rigging will need replacing as it's mixed galvanised and stainless but still sailable, led nav lights, plug in and hang anchor light, electric windlass, 25 kg cqr anchor and chain, stainless push pit, pull pit and stanchions with guard wire with opening guard wire either side of wheel house, new brass vents fitted, new glass to wheel house, new deck fitted and cass covered about 3yrs ago by professional boat carpenter who I bought her off, she has 4 berths, small double in rear cabin with new foam and 2 singles in main, new jabsco sea toilet, large forcasle and hanging locker,main cabin has, new foam to berths but only covered in blankets as easier to clean, dedicated lockers for crew etc, lockers behind backrests,beautiful mahogany movable dining table, nav area with decent sized chart table with storage under and large cupboard under, galley has 2 burner, grill and oven with new gas fittings, hand pumped water with filter, 100 litre water tank, storage cupboards, led interior lighting throughout, wheel cable steering with morse control for the om 636 Mercedes engine (starts 1st time) 45 hp with a tmp gearbox going through to 4 bladed prop. Old cover for wheelhouse, gas locker and water tank to port, 100 litre fuel tank to starboard, she needs a paint and varnish (what wooden boat don't), no broken ribs, planks etc, v good condition for 50 yrs old, hull doesn't leak,1 side was recaulked under water line, long keel with bilge plates and ballast, hand bilge pump, old vhf, new nasa depth, compass and new switches, we are very reluctant to sell as we love going down and just relaxing on her but she needs the time and dedication to keep her in ship shape condition which I thought I had, much admired motorsailer,bits to be looked at, I have 2 gearboxes as the original was blocked and couldn't pump water, bought another which is in the boat. But let's water into the gearbox so currently running without water which according to tmp is OK upto 2000 revs, a beam in forcasle has a little rot to be cut out and replaced, rigging needs replacing eventually, paint and varnish, can't put pics on from my phone for some reason so message me and I will send them, happy browsing and bidding
