Hoverwing Specs: Overall length = 8 meters Wing span = 6 meters. Width = 2.4 meters Cockpit size: 1.85m x 1.25m x 1.25m, seats 4 people. The dry weight of the craft is 650kg. Lift engine: 25hp Kohler Lift fan: 34 inch – 18 pitch 2 Thrust engines available: 1) EJ-20 Subaru, Liquid cooled, Fuel injected 130 hp –top speed 75mph (previous engine) 2) Subaru 2.5 STI engine complete with harnesses and ECU 300hp – top speed perhaps >100mph+ (new engine I bought recently) Thrust propeller: 60 inch – 53 pitch Wing fan (previous set up), plus 6 carbon fibre custom made propellers with a reverse pitch hub made from aluminium 7075-T6 and SS316L. The reverse pitch hub and props cost more then 10K to make.
CF Propeller metal moulds are available also if you wish to produce as many props as you want. Details: The craft was constructed by an experience pilot in Australia from a Universal Hovercraft Kit UH 18-SPW, with a dual helm seaplane set up. Shipping to the UK alone was 15k AUD. Universal Hovercraft USA sell their crafts which have no comparison to the built strength, flying capabilities and stability and obviously looks to this one, for 200K+ USD. My one has a wider and longer tail for better and more stable flying.
Theirs is with an open cabin single helm, shorter tail . Please look on their web site. The craft is fully composite, it was sanded down and it is currently with primer as I wanted to change the color and do some cosmetic work, fix some transport damages and put a bigger engine (from 130hp to 300hp). All the composite work was done by one of the best teams in the UK “Alpha plus UK LTD” in the Isle of Wight Cowes, where it is stored internally. Bottom of the craft was gel coated.
It needs a nice paint job of your choice, new skirt, and to install engine, hub, props etc. The interior cockpit can be used as is, I have all the old stuff inside or you can do whatever you like. Currently it is barebone stripped down to be completed, but I have no time to finish this project due to the nature of my work and family commitments. It’s one of a kind craft and you won’t see anything like it around trust me. It seats on an old trailer which does the job with no problem at all.
I have CAD designs and wing and tail technical analysis plans and files to give you in order to construct solid wings from CF (telescopic wings) rather then fabric. It cost me 5k just for the cad work and aero engineering analysis and designing. These plans were discussed with Professor Hanno Fischer Flugzeug (pioneer in the Airfish designs). I will provide also the CAD files for the reverse pitch hub and CF propellers and a free metal mould to make thousands more from CF.
