Hi, Selling my 1974 Fin keel Hurley 22, formerly called Bluebelle, renamed Jonathan. She is currently residing in Neyland Marina, Pembrokeshire. I have owned her for around 3 years, due to a change in circumstances I have decided to give up sailing and as a result the yacht must go. I have refurbished the yacht for extended sailing but it will be just as good as a day sail or weekender. There is a very good owners website and forum with lots of useful information.
The pictures are a bit sketchy as I have stripped the boat for the winter, so they are old pictures of the boat, I'm putting the sails and running rigging back on this weekend so will take more pictures. I have spent a lot of money on the boat but need it to go so I'm asking for what I believe is a reasonable amount. The boat has had the following work completed on it; New rudder tube fitted, with bronze bushes (this is a common fault with old Hurley's, as the original rudder tube was a galvanised tube and rusted away. This has been replaced with a stainless steel tube with phosphor bronze bearings, a nightmare and expensive job, but needed) £250 New forestay and new roller furling system. £500 Sails serviced, new UV strip fitted on Jib, professionally washed and folded before being put away for winter.
£300 All new running rigging. £200 New Kicking strap. £150 Second hand self tailing winches fitted. £450 New led masthead light fitted. £75 New battery 110AH.
£75 New solar panel and regulator. £150 As new 6HP long shaft outboard Parsun outboard, less than 40 hours use. £650 All internal wiring replaced, new bilge pump, lighting, stereo system with speakers. Origo spirit cooker. £110 30m of 7mm chain from Jimmy Greene.
£120 The boat comes with a fitted garmin gps, VHF radio, speed log repeater and depth gauge. Also included are yacht legs and a custom made boat stand, that can be dismantled and carried in a car. There are lots of bits of kit I will sell with the boat by arrangement with the new owner if required and will discuss when contacted. Structurally the boat is in good nick, but cosmetically could do with some tidying, this is reflected in the price. No offers I'm only asking £1000.
