Hurley Silhouette Sailing Boat 20ft

Hi and welcome to the auction for this 1965 Hurley Silhouette Mark 2 sailing boat.It was owned from new by a chap I knew in the vintage car club scene and has been stored covered at his house for the past 15 years. I acquired it as part of a deal with a couple of his cars. The boat is on its original launch trailer, which in turn is on the custom made road trailer.I recently towed it back from Bristol to Bridgwater with no issues. The inboard engine is a circa 1930 Stuart Turner single cylinder petrol and appears to have been correctly stored. The masts and sails were stored indoor and are complete and in good condition.
I am not a boat expert but it appears to be in sound condition for its age. Both launch trailer tyres are perished and will need to be replaced, but to road trailer ones were ok when I towed it home. The electrics on the light board all worked.I think this would be an excellent project for a sailing enthusiast.
